12 Games Played ...

My quick review 3 games in which I though the game was great, is now tempered a little. 12 games in , last 3 of which were KC(CL Group) there is my overall thining of PES6 so far ...

1. Game is much more open ..
A. Great, not so much hurry scurry as teams closed you down as soon as you got the ball. Which in turn meant most of the time meant quick passes.

B. This open game means the good teams in PES6 open you up and try as you might is very hard to get near them, even when you do you bounce off there players as the forward weaves hois way through 3 of your defenders into the box. Where in PES5 Holding down the B button you defenders put in a tackle, here in PES6 do the same and you players bounce off the cpu players.

2. Not much has change since PES5, well all cpu teams play 1 touch football and 99.9999% of there passes never miss there target. Even if you do get near they walk through the tackle.

3. Break of the ball (deflections) still go to the cpu team ..

Yes I will have to try harder , but its not so much the case of me trying harder, as nothing I do with my players will stop this constant quick( when my player is coming in ) never miss target passing, slow longer runs if my players stand off ..

This be careful where you aim the your passes , on the whole its still cpu aided passing. In blind spots like just inside your own half out near the touchline and you have a team mate 15 yrds on, in the cpu half of the pitch, if you hit the ball the way you are facing , the ball will act like a manual pass and run loose. If you did the same in the middle of the park like PES5 your player will turn if need be and pass to a team mate .. So other than these "blind" stops and long through balls to players running through the middle or out wide, then you need to aim a bit .. But other than that, its the old PES5 cpu aided passing ..

Bottom line , every single cpu team plays this 1 touch never miss passing, if you go near them, slow never miss passing if your stand off .. The only differnce I can see between the Top cpu teams Barca and the like and the lesser one, the only difference is against the lesser you get the chances to score... But when the lesser team is on the ball there is very little difference between the 2 other than they miss more often..

PESMAN ... You must hate this game ...

ME ... NO ! I don't , but against the top and middle rated teams in PES6 you have less of a chance to beat them , than you did against the same teams in PES5..

I've found that the passing works quite well if you just take care to position yourself right and passing in a direction one would expect a human player could. In the old games you could pretty easily make passes very few actual players are capable of (running forward and trying to pass to a man behind you without backheeling alone is no picknic, add the one-touch passes and blind 160 degree poinpoint 60-yard flying through-balls and you had some extremely talented centerbacks in PES5) but there seems to be less of that now.

Also, I've played two seasons now and the cpu teams lose the ball a lot and give several bad passes that are easy to intercept, which has made me realise how much more fun countar-attacking is now. That's on the highest setting (whatever it's called now) so I think you are just having a little trouble with positioning. Positioning and timing is 90% of this game, if you ask me.

I can see your points. Personally, I have been enjoying the hell out of my exhibitions so far and I really think yes, it isn't that different from PES5, but it most definitely is better and so far very fun.

I still don't like how fast strikers always get caught by any defender and how my passes sometimes are weak, esp. in the midfield.
