What do you think.
He reached 10 goals in his 5. match in Galatasaray. And he've just started learn the style of his team friends.
Brazilia can't score goals lately.
Yeah,don't you think like me.

if I am not mistaken, he does play for his national team, and you are saying that he deserves to play there, like he doesn't.

i agree. he's probably one of the best strikers, but he doesn't get recognition just because he played in the portuguese league and only brazilians playing in italy, spain, england, or brazil get selected

yeah ok, he gets selected once in a while, but not as regularly as he should. not like how much roberto carlos gets selected, you know what i mean. same thing with elber. he should play more. and maybe sonny anderson too.

Your totally right. Luxembergo is totally Europeanized though. He cant figure it out that Players like R Carlos Rivaldo etc are very tired after their club + national matches.

Jardel should be starting every match with Ronaldinho. Romario is great but he is 35!!! We have serious problems if we need a soccer senior citizen to save our asses again.

Europeanized?

Don't be such an arrogant bastard. Brazilians aren't the be all and end all of football. Those "Europeanized" Frenchmen won the fucking World Cup and EURO 2000.

Hey jerk I didnt mean to offend anyone. All im saying is that the coach is trying to make the players play totally the opposite of the way they played their whole life.

If a team like Italy that has perfected defense since the 30's decided to go all out and attack and started losing games 4 - 3 I would understand someone saying that the Italian coach was trying too hard to copy South American style of football.

Geez you dig too deep in anything anyone says. There have even been articles where the Football Federation has asked Luxembergo to stop wearing his Designer Suits to home games because it makes him look like he thinks he is better than his own country people. And in the history of Brasil he is the only guy that has played with one striker. So dont act like this is my opinion many many have already said it.

Paulo Rossi any player will be bad on a team like inter if they aren't given the chance to get settled on the team, and if they aren't being used the way they are best.
Hakan is a superb player if he is used right way and if the players on his team knows him!

Sorry. Maybe I overreacted.

I just don't like the idea of you portraying an image of "superior" Brazilian football. Thats bullshit. Those Nike commercials about "Samba" football are so untrue.

Brazilians are just like the rest of us.

I dont think nike is emphazing that. It was jounalists from around the world that started calling brasil the Beautiful team after the 1970 win. And now the expectations are high for total attacking soccer. And when a guy like Luxembergo says that he wants to base his team on total football with all players able to play every where, I know it wont work. The Brasilians learned from a young age that technical ability is more important than versitility. And by trying to change players like Jardel, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo etc is a mistake.

I hope he smartens up too and realizes that it is WRONG to play with one striker. HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO SCORE in a 3 6 1??? We dont need to recall romario if you played a simple 4 4 2 with wingers and wing backs.

Just because he scores tons in the weak Porteguese league and then in the even weaker Turkish league doesn't mean he should suddenly partner the great R9 or Romario upfront for the selecao. IDIOT!!

Hey dummy ever hear of Champions league?? Teams like Juventus Real Madrid Bayern Munich. Jardel has scored against ALL of them. He just scored in the supercup 2. So shut the hell up!

Suddenly name-calling becomes involved and the discussion changes from whether Jardel deserves to be on the Brazailian national team to which one of these two can argue who made the dumber comment.

Come on, fellas, there's no need to call others names on here. I found that out myself, and it's a much better idea to apologise than to continue it.

umm, Portuguese league isn't better than Turkish (look in the tankings).

Jardel did not play great in Brazil squad (he wasn't impressing: was not aggressive, did not "fight" for the ball, did not score enough), so that Luxemburgo even wanted to invite a Brazilian striker from Spartak Moscow in place of him.

He played much better in European matches rather than in intl, as i observed

How did Galatasaray bought Jardel from Porto?
As i know Jardel had a very long range contract with Porto(something like 6 or 7 years) because the team didn't want to lose the best europeen striker who score ~30 goal every season.
SO HOW THE HELL GALATASARAY GET HIM???

Hagi10

According to his contract A team who pays 16.000.000$ to Porto would be able buy Jardel.
And he will take 12.000.000$ for four years.

Personally I think it was the dumbest thing I have ever seen for Jardel to go to Turkey. It's simply not a good enough league. I heard he scored 7 goals in 1 game. Gala is good, but Turkey is not. He might score alot of goals, but against who?? Imagine if Shevshanko were to go,he would score alot to, but is it good to play against weak teams?

Chris Jardel didn't score 7 goals in one game, he scored 5. And it was against one of the worst teams in turkey.
You shouldn't write about something you know nothing about!

Btw Jardel once scored 7 goals in one match while he played for Porto!
