if you're reffering to lelebrian then he hasn't mentioned anything about wanting an option file, he just basically wrote off all the patches and therefore all the hard work by various people all around the world.............i think thats pretty fair:confused:

My post was intended to make fun of lelebrian... He should know that a patch wouldn't update the rosters, only an option file, therefore an option file would be exactly what Steve Kelley wants!

You're wrong. An option file is only a lazy way to update the rosters without changing other things.

I'm looking instead for a real patch, with rosters updated in a new .exe file, and possibly with uniforms.

lelebrian, what if the person who wanted the option file already had up-to-date kits? why would they want a patch if that was the case?

I haven't said that the option file update kits. I only said that you can update rosters in your .exe files. In fact, when you install a big patch you must delete your option file. This means that the rosters are stored in another place, and this place is the .exe file.

There are also some programs for updating your .exe file (WEditor, for example)

Updating the rosters in the option file is only a quicker way, but it has many limits. In fact, I can't import in it the italian teams I created, while in the .exe I can, because the WEditor has the Import/Export feature.

Yeah, but the guy wants an option file! And also, editing the option file is no quicker than editing the EXE... In fact, the only advantage to editing the EXE is that your changed teams appear in edit mode...

Editing the exe you can use the Import/Export Feature. If more than 1 people update the same option files, modifying different teams (for example modifying 1 state each), there's no way to merge the 2 updates.

If you update the exe you can do this.
