im using because it symbolizes what most of the people thought after delgado's goal
and it shows us that football needs to be played with full passion till the time when the ref blows the whistle

in this thread you can see why I don't usually want Brazil to do well on football (they do well whether or not I want them to, but anyways)... we just won a god damn copa america over the argies, can't we be happy with that? no... we have to go and say they're "pussies", they've chickened out, they'll never beat us and **** like that
come on... Argentina played much better than Brazil today, they've played much better than Brazil when they got beat 3-1 in the qualifiers (Brazil had Ronaldo and that's about it)

such attitude...:kader:
man, i think i'll always discuss with you. you barely post here but when you do i usually find cool to have a discussion with you. (H)

anyway... i kind of agree with you on that one. i can't stand the attitude some brazilians have when things like that happen. but i think going against brazil on football just because of that is a bit too far.

é a argentina

Let me clarify a few things.

Uruguay has won 2 World Cups (1930 and 1950), 2 Gold Medals at the Olympics (1924 and 1928) and is recognized by FIFA as 4 time World Champions.

Now before you all start ****ting yourself at the fact that FIFA doesn't organize the Olympics and that Canada is also a 1 time World Champion under this argument, you might want to pull out your history books and read up a little before leaving behind evidence of your ignorance.

FIFA organized the Football Olympic Games of 1924 and 1928.

I know, who would've thought... FIFA also gave Uruguay two signed documents, one for each Olympic, stating Uruguay to be World Champions.
aye man, i was going to comment something along those lines. i'm pretty impressed with the lack of knowledge on football history we find here. everybody seems to care only about the present. (it happens to general history too but since people here are supposed to be footy fanatics...)

parreira was dumb of not starting him

i think it may be complicated to swear at parreira like that. i think baptista should have been a starter on the b team also but if parreira might have good reasons for not doing it.

okay, call me a fool, but i like edu. i think baptista should start over renato, whose i'm not a big fan of. but parreira seems to love renato.

i don't know why, but it just remembered me when everybody sweared at parreira in world cup '94 -- i'm talking specifically about zinho "enceradeira". zinho played every match and although he didn't impress he did his job very well. tactically nearly perfect, he did exactly what parreira asked him to. and we won the cup with parreira and his enceradeira.

Yeah..imagine Canada World Champs :crazyboy:
Yeah...only those 2 Olympics counted as World Cups. If Argentina (or anyone) won it today.....it would just count as a Olympic Gold Medal.

Hmm, well for the first question, the actual trophy, the Jules Rimet Trophy, was awarded to Brazil after they won the 1970 WC, so if we have one, it should be a replica.

As for your second question, I'm not sure what you mean, has the World Cup changed its format? If that's what you mean, then yes, the World Cup has changed formats several times through history.

He wasn't making fun of brazilians. He was simply stating the truth, Brazil did not qualified for the Olympic games.

Didn't Paraguay eliminate Brazil? I'm pretty sure that Argentina beat Brazil for the Olympic qualifiers, but I'm also pretty sure that if Brazil had beaten or drawn Paraguay on their last game, then they would still have qualified.
