So basically, your 2004 was good because Greece did well in all fronts in Sports Competitions? Geez. About the Olympic Ceremonies, no, not the greatest, pretty far from it. Try remembering Barcelona.

I can't remember Barcelona because nothing stood out in my mind from the opening ceremony.

It's all a matter of taste.

I think that it was tastefully done and short. If the Greek delegation wanted to go through Greek history any other way it would have taken a month to go through all of Greek history.

i'm sure that had the announcers read the historical description cards that they were given, it would have made more sense to people. They only announcers that did read the cards were the Germans and they French(bet you didn't know that). The result was a lot of confused English and Americans. But then there's nothing new about that.

Any way I and the rest of world got a deeper appreciation for the event because I understood all of the symbolism.
