I'm gonna jump into the basketball bandwagon since the playoffs actually look pretty intriguing. I think this could be a Celtics/Lakers finals. If it happens I'll watch every single game, because both teams are fun to watch. And even though I think the Spurs will beat the Suns, it would be hilarious to watch them go down to the Suns in the first round.

Make America Great Again
As I said in the other thread, I will not make predictions this year. I don't want to ruin the ability to be a complete neutral in what will turn out to be the best playoffs I can remember.

If the Rockets can somehow make it out of the first round, I will be the happiest person in the world.

Chris Paul. Man, that guy is absolutely incredible - he totally burned Mavs today. He's a top-2 MVP candidate before his 23rd birthday... I can't wait to see how good he'll be in 5 years time.

if the rest of the playoffs go anything like this first day, they might go down as the greatest in playoff history. so much energy in the cavs/wizards and suns/spurs game it's ridiculous. james overrated? stevenson was 0-8 before he hit a shot, and james burned him repeatedly on the other end. maybe he should keep his mouth shut?

how bout nash? still a baller. that fade away 3 in the corner could be hit by him and kobe, thats about it. and diaw needs to leave professional basketball. i have never seen a pussier drive than the one he had on duncan in OT, in a pivotal moment. go at him, get a foul and hit free throws, he was in foul trouble anyway douche... man... i bet he's still looking for his testicles.

Amare is the one who screwed up big time. Sure he scored points, but he was the negative X factor for the Suns D, and in that 1st ot instead of passing the ball to shaq who was right under the basket for an easy 2 and the win... meh

amare has NEVER played defense. NEVER. EVER. he's an athletic freak of nature but he is also a pussy. defense takes commitment and the knowledge that you will get hit, and you will have to hit the other guy. He's an awesome weak side shotblocker/help defender, but not a good low post one on one defender. he is an offensive minded player, and a very good one at that. you're right though, he should have passed. i think there are a number of players to blame, and i just kind of focused on that play by diaw. you could see the fear in his eyes as he went toward duncan. i can't say i blame him, but for god's sakes, the man had 5 fouls, he was backpedaling... :-paul:
