I told Rob last night that we'd win 2-0, I told him it was the most Arsenal result possible. I genuinely believed it.

This team is very good, you can see Arsene Wenger's vision on days like today, and days like the game at Manchester City earlier in the year. They can compete with anyone but at times lack self belief. This could jump start our season and help us to fourth (or even third). With a bit more maturity we could be contenting for trophies next season.

I can't complain about the way the team played. I'm not happy, but I'm not upset. They gave everything they had.

Bayern deserved to win for their first leg performance. The time wasting pissed me off, but I'd have expected Arsenal to do the same thing, they earned that right when they scored the third in London.

But this has been Arsenal for years, top team but can't handle pressure.

and Bayern: wtf happened? would have loved to have heard that Arsenal pulled off 0-3 at the death -- not just for the shock value of the result, but as much for all the Arsene press conference soundbites and expressions that would ensue ...

anyway, quarters draw is 2 days away ... here's what I'm hoping for (teams listed first in each tie to progress):
