Automated features is useful because it increases the amount of space for adding code... For some features it's a real life saver. For others it's useful to be able to actually make assignments.
I've found a rather funny thing, by testing your version of the mod on a clean Fifa 11: Every player but one (Neymar) has a generic face and boots in player edit mode, but in the arena or ingame everything seems to work out just fine. It's strange. I also found that unlike the original versions of the mod created by scouser (12, 13 and 14) the assignments in Fifa 11 seem to be squad save dependent
Also a little side note that has to do with Fifa 11 itself but it's intriguing. I've managed to have a very quick pick at the files from the Xbox 360 version of Fifa 11 because I was curious about the players' stance in the player edit mode on the console versions of the game (The players look like they do in Fifa 12, 13 and 14 on the 11 console versions but on the PC version they look the same as in Fifa 10 on the consoles), so I was wondering if all the files were different, besides the compression (consoles used chunkzip2 whereas the pc version had chunkzip for most rx3 files) and I found out that the bodies are different but the heads have the same format. The reason I'm bringing this up is because maybe being able to use those files on the PC version could add something as the gameplay itself was slightly different and there's a little cool detail that the PC version didn't have, which is different sock heights for players :P
Problem was I couldn't view the files properly (the textures looked all weird with wrong colors after having to use quickbms to decompress the files so rx3 master could open them) so I wasn't sure it the game image I've found was corrupted or what... Anyone has the actual xbox360 version of 11 and would be willing to share the big files?
it s because:
like the shoes,
It can be :
- automaticly: with a .rx3 shoe-file for each player (like fifa 14 rev mod, but takes a lot of disk space...)
- manually: like it s now (every player have a .lua file)
don't know, but it may be more stable with automatic,
as at manually it needs to open each .lua file (& run all the codes in it... = more lag/unstable game?)
for neymar issue:
you mean when edit player ingame (shoes...), I see the faces & shoes at edit...
not sure,
but think at fifa 11 console & pc version where totally different
console had newer grapihcs, personalty+, ...
fifa 11 pc is like the console version of fifa 10 (I played fifa 10 ps3, it s like the same gameplay, graphics as fifa 11 pc...)
but,
fifa online 3 had all the faces, ... from fifa 13
the newer (protected) versions of fifa online 3 contain sockheight & tight kits
the socklenghts/tight kits can be enabled with the lua statements
just need the files (rx3 files)...
