Going against the opponent in the red corner!

The Jailbirds

May the best team win!

For everyone else, thanks for participating and your patience. Hopefully we can keep the draft tradition going for more years...

Right. Jailbirds' defense is woeful for what is supposedly the best side in the world (under draft circumstances). The double-pivot is not defensively reliable enough and it lacks a proper playmaker. That said, the front 4 would wreck any side on the counter. Jailbirds have sligthly better subs IMO.

Brazzers' wings are as bad, if not worse, than Jailbirds' attack. The midfield is competent but not great, but at least it has balance now. I still don't get why Terry and Kompany are swapped. Wouldn't it be better to have the faster CB on the side of the more attack FB? They'll work, but they'd work better at their usual positions, why switch? Anyway, I also don't think the attack makes the most out of Messi. It is functional, they would work together, and quite well, too, but having someone like Lavezzi, for example, would have been much better. That said, the defense is much better than Jailbirds', there's Messi, and his midfield is superior.

I don't like either team, been saying this for a while. Andrei made some bad choices when picking but has coasted thanks to having Messi, whereas Jailbirds picked an overall solid team but without a good gameplan. I'm willing to take back what I'm saying if someone thinks Hamsik is a proper creator, but as far as I know, that attacking band involves 3 players that drive towards goal, and without a base creator, I see them just getting stunted in front of the defense a la Chelsea (perhaps even worse off).

I think Brazzers would win the midfield battle and would generally hold a deeper defensive line to counteract Jailbirds' speed (and because it suits Terry anyway). There will be lots of space for Paulinho and Wilshere to break into and for Messi to drop into. Vermaelen would get destoryed. Robben could always win this up against Criscito, but other than that, I don't see an area of the pitch where Jailbirds have an advantage they can really profit from.

Brazzers win. Meh.

Did I understand it wrong or did you actually say that my attack is bad?

I really really dont want Brazzers to win (fuck Messi) but honestly how can I vote for a defense containing Gibbs, Johnson and Vermaelan to keep Messi and Moura at bay? Brazzers, comfortably.

The Jailbirds are a rubbish team.

They would easily lose to Azerbaijan, Chechnya or Eritrea.
