Public vote thing fixed. Stupid me.

Please vote for the 2 teams you believe would finish at the top of the Group. 3 will advance, but please just vote for 2. If you only vote for 1 or 3+ your votes will not count. Voting will close in 72ish hours (midnight my time). If you vote in the poll you are also allowed to post a vote for a 3rd team (do not vote for 3 in the poll, put this 3rd team in a post and clearly mark that it is for a tie breaker or 3rd place). In case the 3rd place tie breaker votes don't break the tie, I will start removing votes (not tie breaking votes) based on lowest post count first. However I will remove non-participating members' votes before removing the vote of anyone who participated in the draft.

The Walter Whites are the only team in this group where I dont see defensive holes. Podolski and Farfan are not of the quality of the rest of the team, but Soldado-Suarez-Cazorla could be very effective.

Second place is harder, tough choice between The Nutcrackers and The Redeem Team - I am gonna go for Redeem Team because I like the balance better.

Nutcrackers get my tie-breaker vote.

Are you kidding me? The defensive quartet is quite good, but he's got Matic holding the whole midfield by himself! Neither Podolski or Farfan are midfielders, and Cazorla can't really defend.

No offense to the "coach" of that team, but it had to be said.

Another tough group.

The Nutcrackers have a great attack but that midfield is lacking some robustness. Even if Valencia can be helpful Essien can't handle having James Mata and Quintero, which do basically zero defending, around him. Maybe that formation would work with C.Rodriguez playing ML, you'd have to prescind from one of those 3 attacking mids though.

Having said that, my 3rd vote goes to The Inner Circle.

I don't get why The Dragons are doing so well. Ribery and Ramires are awesome, and so is Pogba but he is not quite there YET. Rooney is obviously a great player but has been off-form. Lennon is subpar as is the entire defense IMO.

I get why the Whites aren't getting any love, since the formation is ridiculous. It's a shame because Toulanan in for Podolski and Suarez tucking in to the left would have made that team one of the best.

Won't comment on mine.

Falcao, Mata, James and Dante are great, Essien was a reach, not familiar with Quintero but as good as he is he has not even had a full season at a top level competition (even if we say that the Portuguese league is a top level league). Valencia is off-form and I'm not a fan of the fullbacks. Could win matches with that awesome attacking trident and the CBs are good, but just not quite there.

Redeem Team is very solid. I would flip the midfield around, since Matuidi is, as afar as I know, better as a B2B and Arteta can play at the bottom of the triangle (or it could be a 2-1 triangle with Xavi pushed further forward). I feel that the attack would get very narrow and cluttered but overall it's a good team.

Again, a very tough group, fuck Group B. I voted for myself and Redeem. Had the Whites been used differently, I would have given them the other vote, but I'll give them the tiebreaker instead. Dragons and Nutcrackers are better than some teams that will get to the next round though.

Definitely the group of death this. I vote for myself and Redeem Team, with the tiebreaker going to the Inner Circle. Walter Whites have a good back four but those are the only four players who would do some defending, as Matic wouldn't hold the midfield on his own. The Nutcrackers, imo, have misplaced three or four players there, and as much as I fancy Radamel, he isn't enough.

I voted for myself for obvious reasons and Inner Circle.

I think Inner Circle is one of the most balanced teams although I'm not a fan of Mertesacker, but Nastasic is a good cover guy. Alaba is world class basically covering the left flank all by himself and Carlos Martinez is underrated because of where he plays, but I watched him extensively and he's very solid.

The midfield is decent but nothing special. Carrick is the type of player that goes unappreciated for the most part but always does his job. Bender, although a bit overhyped, is a very good B2B, so overall is a good tandem.

The attack just oozes of danger. Oscar, Lewa, Gotze, Willian and good depth. Overall the attack is one of the better ones in the competition.

The Nutcrackers is a disappointing team overall as I liked many of the picks. I thought the team had potential, and the attack is really good. But that midfield is just not good enough.

The Walter Whites has a solid squad but that midfield is almost nonexistent. This would be a team extremely vulnerable against a possession team, as none of the attackers are known for their defensive work rate.

Philadelphia Dragons is a good squad. Not in love with it, but it's solid nonetheless. They get my tiebreaker vote.

I didn't know this stage had started or would have put my updated team out before - saying I only have one midfielder sounds like an attempt to get rid of the best defensive team in the league though. I'm no "coach", but hey...

Podolski instead of Toulalan in the first post, so you did have only one midfielder in the pitch.

I would have voted for that. I'd change my vote but that'd jjst look like an attempt to sabotage Skip.

You have the only back five that rivals mine. But people here dont even look at the defenses when they vote.

On a sunny day if I go down to Dover and strain my eyes really hard I can sometimes faintly make out the outline of France. Beyond that, what the fuck do I care?
