no changing avatars are just animated gifs, when u convert them to fsh the animation would be lost

to have changing adboards ud need to edit the exe.

erhm, i guess it's only true for the TPLs. Because i managed to change the image sizes using a smaller TPL. Some of my textures in the OT are as big as 512 x 30. etc. definitely more than 256.

Hello...
2GA don't necessitate TPL file. And 2GA a 32 bit file...
You can't change avatars are just animated gifs.

Snip from the adbord.tpl:

TPAGE
{
WIDTH=256
HEIGHT=256
TYPE=ARGB_4444
TSLOT
{
NAME=aadb
WIDTH=256
HEIGHT=32
UOFFSET=0
VOFFSET=0
}
}

The Texture pages are only 256x256 big. If the FSH image has an other dimension it normally will be scaled to the size on the TPAGE. Are you sure that your 512x75 texture is not just downscaled to 256x32 ?
And as you see the ARGB_4444 it only uses 16bit - not 32bit. Even you place a 32bit image on it.

The last thing is that some (older) graphiccards only support 256x256 textures, which means that the 2GA may cause problems for some people.

But I hope I'm wrong and the quality increased of the adboard :-)

No moving adboards.

I try to make something like this and i get the size into 256x256 i didn't publish this adboards cause the only difference was that they were more darken!No moving adboards!A way that we can have moving adboards is to put animate in fsh files!The gif has the animate but when we convert it lose it's move!Thanks sKIp_E for saying this but does anybody edit the exe to give us animate adbaords?

LOOK THE INVENTION PLEASE! :mad:

I think you have got something wrong. There is a difference between the format of the image (RGBA_8888) and the format of the texture (RGBA_4444) used in the game.
The texture pages are the real textures which will be used in the game. An image will be converted to the format of the texture page when loading the image to the texturepage.
What I try to say is that the 32bit image will be converted to 16bit. The texture filter of Fifa may hide this aspect.

The best thought in that way is that you can have two images with a different palette on one TPAGE. Every image could have a 256 color, 32bit palette and a 256 color, 16 bit palette but they have to be converted to the format of the TPAGE, because you can't have two palettes per TPAGE (since a TPAGE is nothing else than a big texture where the normal textures are placed on it).

-----------------------

Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to flame you. It's great that people take their time to modify things in Fifa :-). I only want to try explain a little bit of the technical aspects.
For example the 32bit jerseys: Why using 32bit when there is no transparency in the jerseys? 24bit will also do it. This makes the files smaller with the same quality (I know about the FEd 2001 bug - it can't read 24bit just 32bit (for some strange reasons) )

hmm, but we cant really differentiate the color qualities, unless you really wanna pay so much attention to it.

it's not new. It's from our Fifa 2001 patch. I releases it a couple of weeks ago in the Fifatology forum, but it seemed that nobody has looked there at that time.

It's a small tool to import jerseys to our HQS format. I don't know if it works for normal kits too. I can specify the hxxx images and then it scales the images to the mxxx and lxxx images so you don't need to do that manually.
