Exchange it....loose screw=no good! Silver is only good for communicating with friends, downloading some stuff. To play you need gold. $50 USD a year or $8 USD a month = not too bad at all. It comes with a month free of Gold so you can take advantage of that. I can't afford games either, especially now with a baby on the way. I rent games from gamefly. 2 out at a time for $21 USD a month = sweet! Although I'm not too happy with gamefly. But you can rent from a variety of online clubs so look around! If you can live with last generation graphics, less liscenses and only 8 stadiums, PES for the 360 is the game for you! Give Fifa a try...I did and am enjoying it thoroughly. It has its flaws but it's still a load of fun especially online. By the way I hear PES online is near unplayable due to sh!ttie servers.

I'm really getting close to deciding to get a 360 too.. I'm not in a huge hurry though since one of the main reasons I'll be getting it is to play the new Winning Eleven in a month or two, so I'm content to wait until after Xmas. Still, everyone that owns one is telling me how great it is and praising Xbox Live to no end...

I kinda wanna get rid of the systems I already have too (PS2 and GC + games) had lots of fun with them, but it's time to upgrade. You guys have any suggestions on where I can get cash for older systems? I'll probably just end up Ebaying them off.

Winning Eleven and GOW are probably gonna be my first 360 purchases... there's a new Virtua Tennis coming out for 360 too that looks amazing..

Unfortunately they don't give much for used systems. I think EB gives 50 or 60 USD for a PS2. Since the new systems are out, the demand for PS2, GC, Xbox is very low and also considering that brand new ones cost 100 or so, why buy a used one? 360 is agood system. It has the best games, is not tooo pricey and if you plan on playing friends or strangers online, it's the only real option, as far as quality goes. I hear Virtua Tennis is good. I bet that's really fun online.

yeah, I figured you can't get much these days for older systems. I was actually thinking of taking them plus the games to EB for store credit... even if I got enough to get a couple 360 games, it would be worth it. Mostly I just wanna get rid of them because they're taking up space in my little apartment..

Yeah don't trade them in man they rip you off like hell. Sell them on eBay, if you have a lot of games you can get a pretty good price for it.

I was also gonna wait another month or 2 to get it hoping for a price cut, but I figured even if MS drops the price it wouldn't be more than $100 so might as well get it now.

Yes, it comes with a one month trial. With me, I set up my Xbox Live account through the dashboard. Once the registration was complete, I loaded up Pro Evolution Soccer and was able to play online straight away.

However usually, there is a little card somewhere in your box, with a code for XL. Just go through the dashboard, click on 'Redeem Code', type in the number on your card, and it should activate your one month trial.

Shindig, would you go with NFS Most Wanted or Carbon instead then? I'm big on cars and the rides on TD are amazing, plus the whole buying mansions and **** looks cool.

No, only NTSC. Gerrard, the 360 is being sold now with a free Project Gotham Racing which I hear is very good. And if not, you can buy the cool racing wheel that comes with PGR for like 120 USD in bestbuy, virgin, etc.

Well with Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Too Human, BioShock, Halo 3, HalFLife, etc. come out in early 2007 = Things look great for 360 Trust me, 360 has a bright future.

Alan Wake does not have a release date set by Remedy or Microsoft yet. Shops are claiming Jan-Mar '07 but Remedy themselves just say "there's no date set, we'll release it when it's done." Plus there's the market of people like me who are going to buy a new PC just to play it

What a great price! Certainly can't go wrong. Good move in getting the August '06 360. Mine was manufactured in June or July 2006....so far...sweet!

Can't wait for Alan Wake. Better not rush it on release date and to release it when it's ready! Can't mess with PC's. I'm a mac guy and furthermore, too high maintainance for PC gaming...there's always a bug, configurations, graphic card upddates, expenses, etc. I like plug and play. The 360 hardware will be awesome for at least 4 more years...

There should be a way! I just photoshopped this one in. The score = year Madrid wa sfounded. It's just a little whimsical tag just to use as a sig. The only thing official about it is my gamertag name.

Gears of War is amazing.

I had doubts if buying a 360 was worth it, but GOW pretty much solves that. Stunning graphics, amazing gameplay, I can't stop playing it All the hype around this game is justified.
