all the mod for 3d grass are fakes... for me.

I never saw 3d grass in my game, only in screenshots in forums, and i have a very high specs graphics cards and a lot of mods installed.

anyone have more information about this?

As far as i know fifa 12 only shows 3d grass in replays but not in the normal gameplay, fifa 11 looks better in this aspect.

FIFA 11 PC didn't have this option too, I think.

I´m still playing fifa 11 and the grass looks way more 3d than the fifa 12 grass, besides if you edit fifa 11 settings.lua you can have 3d grass all the time not just replays.

I really don't care if the grass is in 3D or 2D. The only thing I want is that the grass looks real from a distance, with an appearance similar to a match on TV (soft grass, not grainy and with good worn turf textures).

But I wonder... if you can see the grass in FIFA 12 using a particular camera, this means the grass is scripted somewhere. But How to enable it in other visuals? ...the one million dollar question...

There was once where my player is injured. THe cinematics show him lying down and force a substitution from me. There's 3d grass. But why in other cinematics there's no 3d grass?

exactly. in intro cinematics p.e. there is no 3D grass, just that plain texture-grass like one... we don't need it if we had to go to the Instant Replay menu to see it, but in any case the camera get close to the pitch. I don't care if the game performance reduces, I just wanna see it in-game. simple as that.

I see your discussion here and I agree with you that 3D grass is a real problem, I also don't like standart FIFA 12 grass it's bad and not colorful but I've found good quality grass at moddingway site, I don't know maybe you know it or not but it's the best what have been done for FIFA 12 grass if you want it you can download, it's the best I could find in the Internet http://downloads.moddingway.com/file/15908.html (it's quite good in career mode).
