Things I love about FIFA 2003:
(a) I love not being able to head the ball when I want. I only ever want to head the ball when the AI script says I can, just like in real life.
(b) I love that my players keep perfectly still at set pieces, once again very lifelike. It's better becasue then you can see where they all are rather than all that moving around to gain a better position.
(c) I love having my defenders run away from the CPU offense. Some of those players look scary and I would run away too.
(d) I love how my defenders automatically clear the ball without me doing anything. I don't want total control of my defense as that's too much responsibility.
(e) I realy like that keeper charge and header is the same key. I wish everything was on the same key - so much easier.
(f) I love being able to tell whether my free kick is going to go in the goal before I've even kicked it. All I have to do is get that marker in the green area and I've scored. Just like real life. None of this aiming, shooting and curling trash that some games have.
(g) I like it when my player takes 10 yards to turn when I spint because it makes him look big and tough like a ship.
(h) I like superhuman rebounds from the goalkeeper. The only downside is that they've taken off the comet blazes from World Cup 2002, now that was realistic.
(i) I want my forwards to complain every time they are tackled just like in real soccer. None of that getting on with the game and trying to win back the ball for me. I want a scripted shrug of the shoiulders and standing still until the ball is out of my reach to win it back.
(j) I definitely do not want any update patches for rosters and, heaven forbid, gameplay fixes. It doesn't need any gameplay fixes as it's perfect in every way.
(k) I don't want to hear no nasty poo poo people saying FIFA 2003 is bad becasue it is the best game ever. Konami are pathetic in comparison and I only wish I had paid twice as much for the game to show it's true worth.
(IS THAT BETTER???????)
