I had this too. Sometimes in tactics screen you wanna sub an attacker for an attacker but then after 20 minutes you noticed that you've replaced your attacker with a goalkeeper. FM seems to mistake sometimes with which player I click on.

Uhuh, once Roy Carroll played as an AM for most of the second half and even got one assist...when i saw that i thought i was blind or something cause i was sure that i repleaced Scholes with Fletcher.
But that happened with the gold demo so im not complaining now...

It could actually quite easily have happened to you and you just didn't notice ...

The worst thing that happened to me was a game playing FC Copenhagen from the Danish Sas-league, when I wanted to substitude my left wing, Lars Jakobsen, and it put in my star attacker, Alvaro Santos instead ... However, I didn't notice it at the time, untill several days later, when I wanted to show the game to a friend, as it had been a 9-0'er and I was pretty proud... Actually, he pointed it out and asked me what the **** was going on, and I had to say that I did not know

no, its the same, when I clicked on him that player appeared (the (MLC is Emres position, the player that should have been there)
