I have been feverishly been playing PES4 on PC for months, pes ladder uk games, online leagues, world cups. You name it, I have competed, I thinkj I know the game well and enjoy it.

However, I listened to some very respected and active members of this board, who said that WE8I was slightly different to play. A few touches here and there.

Well, I got it and have played it online and offline and I can categorically state that there is no difference at all.

Konami were telling the truth.

My opponents and I online even have some lag still with it.

So, yes, both great games.......both the bloody same thats why!

Another thread?, look, if you think the games are the same then fine, get over it, but the fact remains they are different.

You trying to tell me the players stumble the same in WE8I as they do in PES4?..rofl, bollocks.

LOL..look, I can tell you one thing, I stumble less in WE8I than I do in PES4, believe what you want, did you only play one game of WE8I I take it?..or are you too much of a PES4 fanboy that you cant admit WE8I is better?.

my goodness. you two are fighting ferociously over the same thing!

this has the intensity of a fifa vs pes argument except the games are both made by konami. i haven't played we8 but i hope it is better.

I downloaded the WE8 demo and it was just the ******* same so I throwed it off immediatly.. there will be a little difference but almost nothing...

No, WE8I is better but not sooooo much better, understand?..

Perhaps you dont mind your players stumbling once per 5 seasons, but I sure as hell do, and when WE8I reduces this I will be ahppy for sure, so unless there is a crime for liking one game over the other, piss off.

Its obvious you are all PES4 fanboys, but the fact remains people like WE8I over PES4, so you just have to live with that, making a thread over something which has been mentioned a dozen times is just 150% retarded.

Yep, the fact that almost everybody has found it runs smoother, works with less or no lag online, has less stumbling etc. is imagination. I guess the fact that PES4 wouldn't even run on some friends PC's but WE8:I will is imagination too. The fact that I couldn't play anybody outside of the USA as the client because of lag whereas now I can play as the client against people in Germany and Australia with little or zero lag is imagination too!!!

If there's no difference for you, stick with PES4. For the rest of us who had players who would shoot about 2 seconds after you hit the shot button online as the client who can now shoot when we want, we'll just appreciate the difference.

If there was no difference, you could simply swap 0_text.afs files and have the game run.

Maybe that's why you didn't find any differences, because you uninstalled it right away? The differences probably aren't so big you can see them by the first half of your first game anyway.

The games are different (on PC) in many small, and a couple of BIG, ways.

The online lag, for many, is no doubt true. My friends in the States swear that this is the case. Period.

In addition, the handball aspect of the gameplay is different.

I still stumble on WE8:I, but it feels to me as if the ability to "fight through" a stumble on hold on to the ball is more realistic in WE8:I than it was in PES4, where I seemed to get stripped on the ball with no opportunity to jostle at all.

OTOH, another thing that happens in WE8:I which I'm not sure if I like is that sometimes one simply gets knocked the hell down during play, with no call, whereas that type of knockdown would almost always be called a foul in PES4. It's actually more realistic, I think, in WE8:I, but I still don't really like it :)

I consider WE8i to be the "1.20" patched version of PES4.

Subtle tweaks.

I would say that WE8i feels a little bit more "solid" although if I was stuck on an island with only PES4 then I would be far from unhappy.

Imo the games are different but to appreciate the changes you really need to play a lot of games to notice, to dload a demo and compare it to the full version of pes 4 is stupid.

The gameplay differences are very very slight. WE8I does run smoother on one of my lower end PC's. Anyway, you cant go wrong with either one.

You know what smart is. To buy WE8 and then see that you cant see any difference.. or a little.. but that you prefer PES4 and then you ****ed up your 50 euro :kader: ok.. thats the way you like it.. sounds not very smart anyway

i got to try both full versions for free(through a kind friend shareing) and decided to spend my hard earned on we8 .
in 1player the differeneces admitedly are very hard to see, but i then hooked em upto a m8 on an identical 2mb cable connection and pes4 fails bigtime!!!
sorry but its a fact we8i is perfect online pes4 seems to have lag built in!:kader:
