512 kbps maybe for best performance i recommend 1mbps

For question 2, do you mean: will the adboards, balls, etc work with online mode?

If that is what you meant, the answer is yes, but only if your opponent also uses the same mods.

If not, your opponent will see the blue-green checkered mess for all of the things you modded.
