some of the older posters on this forum may remember my old thread "one matche and one certain player" this follows on from that.
After years of underachievment, it seemed asured that my multi-million pound Valencia side would beat Real Madrid to the title last year, yet vital slip ups at the wrong time allowed the unstoppable Real Madrid to beat me, even though i was on 92 points myself. But is THIS year finnaly the year that my players step up to the challange and really show the world how to play!!!..... we'll just have to see! lol
After a wonderful pre season tour in Greece, confidence is high and my players seem ready for another almost certainly gruelling season.
The team, composed of big signings and youth talent. Squad rotation in recent seasons has been my strong point. I play the 2-1-4-1-2
GK: Chiotis / Cordoba
DF: Ferdinand
DF:Ayala, Crosa
DMC: Kaluzny/van Bommel/Giannachedda
ML: Vicente/Castillo/Ronaldihno
MC: Van Bommel/Kaluzny/Giannachedda
MC: Kerr
MR: Seedorf/ Senior
AMC: Aimar/Ronaldinho
FC: Ronaldinho/Salva/Konstantianou
FC: GOMEZ!
Onto the first game, no injuries or suspensions.
Newly promoted Valladolid vs tital contenders Valencia. The stage seemed set for a 'welcome to the premier league Valladolid' hammering session.
although no-one was injured, some where unfit. Seedorf played in the cnetre with new buy Senior on the right.
However, the match didnt start as i'd hoped; Arenaza played through the prolific Pachon.... 1-0 Valladolid.
But that only spurred Valencia on, just 2 minutes later in the 7th Seedorf opened up the Valladolid defence and squezzed a shot past Bizzari. 1-1.
My valencia team where no starting to work hard, yet maybe for some people.... too hard. A rash tackle earnt Rio a straight red in just the 20th minute. Castillo came off for Crosa. He went to CB, with Ronaldinho going to LM leaving Gomez up front on his own.
But Ronald Gomez is the sort of bloke who can win matches single handed, it doesnt matter if he was playing with 8 men, he could still do it. Just 2 mins later he blasted past 3 people with astonishing pace, and slotted past Bizzari again.
Gomez wasnt done there though. in the 39th minuted he made it 3 with a wonderful move. Aimar floated the ball to Gomez, he took tha ball down and from 35yards out, chipped Bizzari.
At half time it was Valladolid 1- 3 Valencia.
Valladolid came out into the second half a changed team, constant rampages on our goal (mainly led by the extraordinary Pachon) finnaly resulted in a goal on the 55th minute. this time from Vukecevic... Assited by you know who. Valladolid continued to press and it looked likely that there might be an equaliser. Not so. In the 62nd minute, Ronaldinho popped up unmarked in the box to head not only the ball home. But also Valencia. With a mentally shatteterd Valladolid 2 goals behind, Valencia seemed to have all but got there first win of the season.
We continued to press through the last 10 minutes yet couldnt find another goal.... Pachon kept on trying for them lol
Final Score - Valladolid 2 - 4 Valencia.
MOM: Quite rightly... Sergio Valentin Pachon. Without him Valladolid really would have been hammered.
Can i keep it up and finnaly beat Real Madrid to the league! Watch this space!
