I was just wondering if one of you lads could answer a question for me. I used to play CM 01/02, but didn't play 03/04 much due to the game running so damn slowly on my PC which is pretty primitive. Basically, when playing 03/04 it took a friggin age processing between dates with results from other matches etc. coming in VERY slowly.

I have been told that FM has been coded differently to 03/04 and runs much quicker, even on low-spec machines. Is this true? will FM run closer to CM 01/02 speed or does it still run closer to CM 03/04 speed? Any info would be most welcome. Cheers.

FM runs much faster than CM 03/04 for me.

In CM I couldn't play Large DB or else it will run very slow. Now I can run LDB without any problems.

Well, on Cm03/04 I ran 5 leagues on medium, while on FM I run 4 leagues on small, but CM was considerably faster for me.

for some people FM05 is faster for others cm0304 is faster... not sure how it works exactly.... but my pc is high-spec and FM is faster than cm for me.

fm is faster. i use to play large database. in cm, it took around 3-4 minutes to completely load the game but in fm, it just take 2 minute

FM runs quite quicker for me, i find that is a lot quicker if you have only a few leagues selected. More so than CM0304 ever was. BUT if you have loads selected it is really bad

4? Last time I checked there were 6 :p

It would take longer to load, as there's just much more in the database for the full version, but it shouldn't be different much while playing.

Anyway thanks for the help, and thanks to everyone else also. It's good to see that Tom is still obsessed with the game.

I'm going to get the game on the weekend. The nervous breakdown and three days of weeping when the demo ended were too much for me. I need this game.:)
