A little blurry on LCD?

Adamo

Club Supporter
I know this is probably more of a technical question about my monitor. But, I just bought a 19" LCD monitor to replace my 17" CRT and the game looks and plays great but I notice, when the ball is hit long, downfield, the players look very blurry as the camera passes by them. In my first game with this new monitor, it was very hard to watch, it looked very strange but I have since gotten a little used to it. I am running the game in the native res of the monitor, 1280 x 1024. I don't know if this is what people refer to as ghosting. It's not a terrible bother but I was just wondering if anybody knows what I'm talking about and whether there's a cure.

thanks

go to
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 07\data\cmn
open CFG_PC_H.ini (if u play on high settings)
Change RENDER_RATE_MODE to 2
RENDER_RATE_MODE = 2
See if it changed anything.

no my friend i changed from a 17" CRT to a 19" LCD also and the blur is slight its all down to ure monitors response time CRT has a response time of 0 where LCD has a response time usually ranging from around 1-8 which causes the blur but like u say im now used to it and dont really notice its there now :jap:

Hi, Sounds like your getting a little ghosting. Most pannels, even 8ms pannels will get ghosting. I have a 19" 8ms LCD and do not get ghosting by increasing my refresh rate to 75 hertz while conencted via a DVI cable. I am also using dual 7800 GTX cards in SLi and use the 81.98 nvidia driver. This driver is one of the last that allows you to override the monitor refresh rate, as the default refresh rate for an LCD is 60 hertz.
