FabregasChelsea we enjoy our retro feel, so notifications, @s, tweets, ball licking, hashtags, selfies and otherwise general Z Generation shenanigans are pretty much frowned upon.

Also this encourages you to read through every thread, new and old, and contribute to every one of them, as to increase forum activity; something that would be reduced if you only contributed every time you got a notification. We're not Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg would piss his fucking lycra pants over here.

You mean retro as in the current SG mainpage with the headline, "PES 2015 - Out Now!"? Yeah, that's not "retro," that's "dead." Notifications would be a happy addition to this dead site. But whatever you believe needs defending.

I think its not a bad idea to get a notification when someone quotes your post but nothing else. It is not necessary though. This website's layout has stayed the same for the last 12 years that I've been here and it will never change.
