About Raul vs Totti

Since my post got deleted in "Italy vs Spain thread" , where i got insulted cause im not agree in Totti > Raul. So i will start a new thread

For Claupastore, modena_10 and Iceblu:


I didnt said Raul is better than Totti , i wanted to say to compare players is just stupid, saying anyone is better than XXXXXX.

Anyway i just see the merits, i just see titles and goals scored, the whole career, and in that point Raul is God, and Totti is a not that good

Raul titles:

2 Intercontinental cups
3 Champions League
4 Spanish Leagues (Liga)

2 Most scorer in Spain
2 Most scorer in Champions League

The most scorer in Champions League history
The most scorer in Spain Nation Team history

Not bad, knowing he is 26 years old, 26 ...

This season he is sucking, he only scored 11 goals in La Liga... Too bad, the same number as Fernando Torres (not counting penalties...) 11 ****ty goals in 30 matches played... Not really bad for his worst season

Now tell me about Totti... what he did, apart being cute , 1 scudetto?

In football iF i score 3 goals, and u score 2 , i win, is not about another things...

how anyone can say Totti is better than Raul? we can say both are class players, even i think Raul career is brilliant since he was 17.

In spain we say: Raul is not fast, is not skilled, is not strong, is not a good header, not a good shooter, dont throw penalties, corners or free kicks, dont steal ball, aparently he is ****, but we dont know how he is always there waiting his moment, thats why he is a world class player.

I have always said Totti is the most overated football player along with Vieri, so yeh id have Raul in my team over Totti anyday,dispite Raul's poor season.

forget that... Beckham is the most overated player! But i agree with you completely. they are both great players. They both play different roles for their teams. Raul isn't doing so well this season, but he is still great!

I totally agree.... This has been a really bad year for Raul, but that doesn't mean he sucks... in fact, i would take him anyday.

Totti is a goalscoring midfielder. Raul is a striker. So firstly comparing the two is your first mistake.

Totti's job is to provide and score the occasional goal if he can. Raul gets paid to score.

Totti has been around and playing at the highest level for a decade now.(you might not know that since you don't know sh*t)

The argument about Raul winning 3 Champions Leagues is just stupid.

Totti has grown up as a Roma fan and plays for the club he loves. Unfortunately, this means that he won't be able to win things like he can if he was at a bigger club.

Totti has carried Roma from being a club stuck in mid table medeocrity to consistent title challengers and even winners.

You rank among the most narrow minded, ignorant members on these boards.

I thought i'll save you the embarassment and delete your post in the Italy thread but you made another thread.


And oh, mark my words - You will be sucking Totti's salami if he's wearing a Madrid jersey in a season or two.

totti is roma's soul.

totti is one of italy's more important players if not the most.

beckham is not even top100.

i don't see the logic in comparing raul and totti against each other. they play different positions. both are great players. totti is having a superb season and is a fantastic player. raul's been subpar this year but his record speaks for itself. and i really can't put much weight on how many titles raul's won...it's a team sport. it's no secret he's played on better teams in the past.

Well Raul is from Madrid and came threw their youth program.

It's stupid to compare these two as they're both great players who are important for their club and country. That's why they're captains for their respective clubs.
