I think this is for the best, and it's not even like we're not fighting for something worth fighting next year, it would be great to tin the Scudetto next year UEFA too! Also i think that if we would have gone through to CL we wouldn't have the time to rebuild the team! Now Kaka', Seedorf, Ancelotti and Galliani are all saying that we need two good players for all positions.
The changes have started:
Serginho and Cafu have played their last game for us today. They're both retiring (ok Cafu maybe even isn't), we'll hear from Maldini until the end of this month, and Galliani said some more will follow in their footsteps, the press is speculating that these players are: Gilardino (Fiorentina), Brocchi (AEK), Dida (Cruzeiro), and Simic (CSKA i believe or Tottenham), Gourcuff might go out on loan by that's far from being settled and the possibility of the loan is only 40%, as for Gattuso Galliani we will know in the next few days, Galliani said they're too meet Gattuso tomorrow and discus what Gattuso wants.
GATTUSO STAYS!!!
And i believe that Ronaldo's contract wont be renewed - which i think is a good thing cause we're paying him 4.6 Mil € for two games a season.
In contrast a even a player like Amauri has a highest demand of 3.7mil and he would guarantee more than 15 goals per season -not saying that we should bring him just doing the math here, i'd rather get Borriello back along with buying Ronaldinho (if Berlusconi's so hung on him) and play the 4-3-3 with him instead of Seedorf on the left, Kaka on the right and Pato in the middle and have Seedorf and Gourcuff (that's why i'd leave him) as subs for them and Borriello and Inzaghi as subs for Pato. Also with these players in attack we can easily change our formation in case of injuries and rotate between 4-3-2-1 and 4-3-1-2 and Ancelotti's good old 4-4-1-1. This would give us a lot of tactical possibilities.
Galliani has announced that Milan will buy
seven or eight players over the summer, with 3 of them being top quality signings (by that he doesn't mean Ballon d'Or quality i hope you understand). One centre back, one midfielder and one attacker, i believe these to be Barzagli, Flamini and Ronaldinho (i know we already purchased Flamini but Galliani likes to play these mind games) but it might look like this if Amauri opts for us instead of Juve which might actually happen because Juve don't want to meet his salary demands, and also Juve's fans don't want to give Giovinco for Amauri (which i think they're absolutely right to protest, that kid is good, next Alex). Then it might look like this Barzagli, Ronaldinho, Amauri. Or they even might surprise us with that striker position what is sure though Milan needs a new #9. A pure striker, Pato is more of a second striker material though he's to skilled to play right in the box and only in the box. But we might have someone in that mould already with Borriello who's this season Serie A's third stirker with 19 goals. He'd do fine if you ask me.
For those other 4 ''not so big'' signings
1st the GK: Media in France say that Nice's keeper 21 year old Hugo Lloris is on the verge of singing for Milan and i think this is the best move even better than Fiorentina's Frey, although there is talk in Italy that Milan intend to bring Both for 1st and 2nd choice positions but after watching some of Hugo Llorises youtube clip given the fact that he's only 21 which is uber young for a keeper i think that it would be a waste to keep him as second choice i say buy him give him the #1 shirt and keep Kalac as second Choice.
Here's a link to his compilation.
2nd a fullback: Zambrotta is the most possible one here but i would give him a world class singing tag, although Vargas is a possibility too i think that it will be Zambrotta because of his capability to play at both right and left back positions combined with recalling the 23yo Grimi from loan who's a the biggest defending talent from Argentina in the last few years. Also we might buy(or as it is said we might have already bought) 23yo Alex Silva a centre back from São Paulo. Zapata has also been linked with us too many times, and either would be great.
3rd. one more midfielder: Hernanes and Thiago Neves and Menez are the only three names being linked with the place of a Kaka' sub (in case Gourcuff leaves) but i remember that when Pato was bought Leonardo said that Thiago Neves will most probably arrive at Milan next season and Pato said that the two where great friends and that he called him to come to Milan. I doubt we will be getting more holding midfielders tough, i'd like to see an understudy for Pirlo though, Cigarini anyone?
And last a backup striker: I firmly believe this one will be Borriello, he has blossomed this season and i believe this to be a Luca Toni type progress so i'd like to see him wearing our Red 'n' Black once more.
ALL IN ALL IT SEEMS TO BE AN INTERESTING SUMMER BEFORE US, SO LETS ENJOY IT!!
FORZA MILAN!
