Neways, Defoe? That'd be cool eh. Something Milan have been missing are these short fast strikers who are hard to handle. I dont know wether he'll succeed or not but theres no harm trying.

unfortunately, since I slept at 3am last night, when I got up at 9 to watch the game, I fell right back asleep and missed the entire first half... woke up right when the 2nd half started and watched it from there played great in the 2nd half, but missed way too many chances Vieri and Rui Costa connected well, but Vieri just doesnt have the pace to catch up with RC's passes... ****in useless

oh, and Vogel's scissor kick near the end of the game I like the way this guy plays

Vieri IMO played very well, but very unlucky finishing or lack of concentration but he was very active.

And Milan should even retire Maldini's position, like Drvar said Maldini is beyond anything before seen.

I like the way Vogel played as well as Seedorf.

i was lucky to have supported him while captaining the azzurri, but as a juve fan i'm very envious of milan

i think he's playing under great stress with his knee and all, but he seems to be showing his worth yet again

he deserves a statue outside the san siro, and every player has to kiss it's feet before entering the ground

Even though i'm not a fan of the Italy national team, i agree with you on that one, as well as Baresi, i'm not sure if he won a World Cup either.

Anyway, i found those hilites in some swedish soccer forum....it was nice to see Don Paolo smiling like that after that 2nd goal...really good goals.

Eh, maybe Paolo will get il Pallone D'Oro this year, with such performances....remember last game's play to serve Sheva's header...

We should have trounced Reggina last night

Since Ice suggested player ratings, let me give some.. Its been some time since I watched Milan live

Dida 6 - Untested. They had one shot at goal and scored. Pretty much unstoppable.

Maldini 9 - Nothing else to add. No one in the world is better than him.

Nesta 5.5 - Goal was his fault.. Sleeping? Very un-Nesta-like

Stam 6 - Cafu has a good backup

Serginho 6.5 - Good runs forward. Connected well with Seedorf on the flanks

Vogel 7 - I like this player very much. Obeys the rule of the game. "Football is easy. You need to pass to anyone available and make yourself available for others to pass". The dude missed only like 2 passes the whole game. His passing game is totally opposite of Pirlo who always tries the hardest pass but succeeds like 90% of the time.

Gattuso 6.5 - Back to his normal self. Lost a few balls but ran back and won it back. As usual.

Seedorf 6.5 - Same as Gattuso in terms of form. Please dont let this be a one-off (He's been playing well since Lazio, though). A pity his scissor kick near the end didnt go in. Kaká would have had a competitor for goal of the season.

Rui Costa 7 - Supplied Vieri with so, so many chances. Obviously, none converted. He also hit the bar with a deflected shot.

Shevchenko 6 - Very average game. He cant play with Vieri in my oppinion. Vieri's style of play demands that Sheva plays very deep or on the wings. Not his best position.

Vieri 5.5 - Could have had a hat-trick but the dude is extremely reliant on his left foot.


Kaká - Came in and added his usual speed to the game. Nothing much though.



Overall was a good game but the conceded goal a pity. Vieri needs to get that elusive first goal and everything will be fine.
