I think CMG need to put up a little more empasis on the forums to help them develop and pick up new members. It was pretty hard to find the link initially because it was an anonymous gray link among all the others on the side navigation bar. With every site having its own forums CMG needs to do somehting to make them stand out
Perhaps the advert for the Players section, which pretty much seems to generate a huge volume of traffic by itself, could be replaced by one for the forums. This would then be on every page and so people might be encouraged to sign up.
Also perhaps something should be done about the fans HQ which has nothing of worth in it and provides what appears to be a useless sign up. Removal is really my suggestion. Unless there is something planned for it.
More links to stories on the main page of stories HQ and perhaps the cultivation of some of the writers (the 2-3 i admit) on this forum who actually write stuff to either let their material be placed on the main site as well or to write exclusively for the main site.
Graphics HQ generates a 404 so sumthing might be done about that.
The tactics review and tactics need some sort of synthesis. If i read a review i should find a link to download the tactic at the end of it. Similarily while looking at the tactics page i should get a chance to see if that tactic has been reviewed and then a link to read that review if i want. Bifurcated like this theres no real reason to look at either of those two pages
The Backroom HQ is badly designed but pretty comprehensive. If those tables could be bought back into line with the size of their contents that would help the presentation alot. This is done in the coaches section. Maybe a star rating for the staff.
The player profiles is hopelessly out of date, unchanged for at least the last 3-6 months. The graphics of the name are also incongruos with the rest of the site layout. The actual profiles are pretty well written themselves.
I know this is full of vapid negativity but this site has improved a tremendous amt since Tom and MJS took over and the quality of the content all round has improved in leaps and bounds
Just my coupla cents worth and I look forward to knowing what you think of my suggestions
