Advice

I have a tried and tested set of 3 formations that I always use no matter what the club. Should I do this or should I re-create formations to suit each team?

Well, if it's working, why change it ? If it ain't then fiddle about with it until you can fit all your best players in

Like John said don't try and fix what isn't broken!
Maybe if you do need to change something around, it maynot be the formation, it maybe the indvidual instructions given out

I would work on some more as the computer will crack them eventually and you want to have some backup tactics.

true it can be very annoying when youre doing really well and the tactic lets you down if you find a new tactic try to make it hard to crack or have 2 tactics and switch them about game to game.

Exactly, I have often gone half the season winning practically every match and thinking 'Dude, I'm gonna clean sweep everything' and then the computer cracks my tactics, I have none in reserve and it's all down hill from there.

yes and as its usually foung its probly half way through the season so its hard to try the tactic out without losing a game because youre trying it so its best to get some back up early

True, true. The computer cracks your tactics, you lose 4 or 5 games designing another, your players get unhappy, your results get worse, your board get pissed off, your money goes and before you know it BANG, you're out of a job!!!

I play almost the WW2 tactic although Not to the letter as I'm 6 seasons thorough a network game with a friend and because he is the host the tactic doesnt show up after loading the True one in. Anyhow mine is pretty identical. I did copy it. Anyhow would changing say one players position make a difference of preventing your formation being cracked. Say after 6 weeks have 2 games of maybe playing your anchor man as a 2nd striker?

I'm not sure. Give it a go though

Doesnt seem a bad idea does it. I could maybe check for when I have 2 homes together and do it for them for a lesser risk.
