After 20 SPL Games "Pro Setting"
Sitting at the top with Celtic , 2nd place has changed hands several times and Rangers are now sitting there in 2 place. I'd went on a run of at least 10 games winning them all, I lost to St.Mirren 2-1 and that was a shock to the commentator who said I have all the game. There 2 goals are typical of cpu goals against, one was from on the touchline 30yrds from goal , the winger swung in a cross that came in under my bar and my keeper got a hand to it , it came off the underside of the bar and lay of the line until one of there forwards ran in and tapped it in, there 2nd another usual for the cpu , a 25yrd top corner screamer..
Since that defeat Ive went on another run of wins , my last of the 19 league games Ive played so far a 3-2 away win again Dundee Utd, held off the denfender and moved in on the keeper (who just stood there as I got closer and close until I toe poked it in for the winner).
1. P19 G57 , I would say 85%+ of these have been from 20 to 25yrds+ from goal, bottome left right and top left and right. Once you get use to making an angled run be it right or left outside the box , press shoot and pick a corner and place the analog stick in there, more often than not the ball will end up in the net. Same goes from running down the side of a defender in the box and from out on the right or left some 6 or 7yrds from goal shoot across him , again bottom corner of the analog stick well. Goal will be scored most times.
I will admit sometime getting in position to have these strikes on goal can be little awkward to come by , not hard! You'll see the ball flying into the corners of the net be it high or low.
2. Kickouts even your own keepers , but all the time the cpus keeper, Its the ball all the time , your forward it standing either in the centre circle or just outside it , move your analog stick and 95%+ of the times your player will bring it down on his chest and as he does , just turn and your away from the cpu player next to you..
2 AI , not that great, ok I was playing Pro but still , that should be a bit of a challenge. Yours and the cpus players defender most of all, just don't react quick enough to aa player moving through. I lost 90%+ of my goals becaue the players I was depending on to lend a hand when I was controlling one of there team mates, were not up to the job. Also player control change , slow and even on auto not that great. Anyway , Call Defender that should send my player out to close down and tackle the cpu player on the ball is slow to react. You press and hold Call Defender and they start of with a slow stubbled walk if that , then move a bit more until you get them into a run, even then it not that fast of a run..
Lose of a lot of my goals came from rebounds of my keeper and not from getting his hands stung by thunder bolts of shots, the ball came off my defenders chest when I was facing my keeper , it dropped down and rolled very slowly towards the keeper who dived or more like flopped down on it and let it rebound off him as though he just got his gloves to a 90mph shot...
There were a few other things but ...
Bottom line its to easy to score , and the goals you lose to the cpu are just as bad. AI is not great .. see 50odd goals in 19 league games .. goals against 26 goals ranging from 25_yarders to goals from crosses.. Volleys from 18yrds out from these crossed balls and a mix in between ..
There is no sense of achievement in either winning the games or scoring the goals 2 or 3 once in a while , but any where from 1 to 4 or 5 a game as it has beem, these screamers from 20 to 30yards look great and would be if I was scroing one or two in a blue moon, but I can pick up 1 to 3 or 4 ever game ..
