Hmm is that why about %80 of the people who downloaded could not get it to work untill messing about with allsorts of setting and even then only getting to play it on its lowest setting and then still getting major slowdown...get with the plot wee man.

Hmmm i dont really know what you mean by that....so your saying games like bf1942 and other online games are the same as playing with yourself on singleplayer?
If you play pes3 and fifa by yourself most of the time then you are missing out on the best bits of the game..both these games and ment to be played in 2 player...especialy pes...so maybe you should take up a knew hobby or something in order to find some friends

Stats are great, especially when they're made up on the spot. Again, demo hasn't been officially announced or released and if you're trying to play the latest games on a direcxt7 card, expect problems.

No, I mean FIFA is an average game & average games aren't worth playing online or offline..Imagine if in online BF there were only 2 RL ppl playing and the rest were really shoddily programmed bots, then you could compare the online experience of BF to FIFA04 online.

I'd love to play online football against ppl from round the world, that has nothing to do with not wanting to play FIFA04 online.
I defintiely wouldn't pay a subscription fee to play FIFA04 online, that would be ridiculous (this is if the rumours are true, which seems likely as there's no direct ip support) .

and if the demo has not been officialy released(witch i know it hasnt) Then that will be the reason for all the flaws then. but for you to sit there and say thats there nothing wrong with this version of a pes3 demo is quite funny. and proves to me that you are stubborn and no matter what you will praise everything about pes3 and slate everything about fifa with no compromise.

You might think fifa is an average game, but its still the best football game availible that allows you to play against people from all over the world whenever you like.
Avrege or not the very fact that its football makes it enjoyable.

ANd you have to pay for Every ea sports game to be able to play it online..however you get a YEAR for free and by a year the next game will be out so if you dont buy the because after a year of free play that you wont be able to play unless you pay £3 a month then ,again your only kidding yourself.

I personally think EA (at least the team that handles fifa) are a bunch of amatures who dont know there arse from there elbow..i really despise there lack of respect for there consumers and i would rather not give them my money..However im not so ignorant as to play a good game of fifa then slate it and slag everything off about it just cos i dont like EA.
Fifa is a good game regardless of how much i dislike the EA team that make it.
PES3 is also a good game but it sure does have its flaws too.
But if we get back to the point im still really confused that you can play both games and then say that PES is more of a simulation?

ok, no I still don't know what you mean. If you mean ISS PE2 then yeah that game is a classic, miles ahead of anything else at the time. I played it not long ago and could see the similarities between it and WE7 but WE7 is better in almost every respect.

Not pessimism. For me, the game has too much wrong with it to be fun, simple as that. We disagree about fifa being a fun game, online or offline, I can deal with that.

Do you get a year for free? I've heard the US do but for Europe it's only 1 or 2 months. People really shouldn't be happy with EA asking them to pay full price for the game and then a monthly fee to provide what is essentially a lobby service.

Agreed, I hate EA and their money grabbing as much as the next person, doesn't stop me playing BF 1942 (if they introduced pay to play, then I'd be pissed).

Defintion of a computer game simulation? Recreating real life events realistically. In this the aesthetics take a back seat to the mechanics.
So for a football sim then, the most important things are how the players move(animations and off the ball running), how the ball reacts and how much control or involvement I feel when this is going on. Kits and licenses are nice but are not important in recreating 22 players chasing a ball round a park(though PES3 patched will look amazing ).
Under this defintion, IMO PES3 is a far better simulation than FIFA04.

ok then i suppose we can agree to disagree since we both have diffrent views of what makes up a football simulation and so in that case there can be no wrong answers.
However i still feel that the vast majority of people would see it like i do.

and nah you dont have to pay for the english online lobbies, well at least after a year, and all you have to do to get 60 extra days was fill in a quick form on the ea website.

This year however it will be the same as madden,ect with a game time card, just type your code in when you install the game and you will get a free year.

However i do think paying for games like fifa for an online lobby stinks, its ok for other games that are made for online and that WILL get improved with patches and stuff.

maybe i mis-understand you but from this sentence, (you put it alone) meaning this year is free not next year. So like if next year the product is not as good as this year, we might have to pay for the 04 lobby. Lobby is good for getting matches up (IMO)
