u know nothing...

ps2 started to be properly explored only now...most of softhouses never used full dvd's capacity so far...maybe poliphony with gt 4...but no ea or even konami...

xbox has a superior hardware but even that way, could'nt beat ps2 in graphics...what u said is totally insane, sorry...

and, hey everybody...don't u forget that fifa 06 is gonna be released next year for next gen consoles, and in november for current gen platforms...so...they got plenty of time to fix, produce, improve, smooth, whatever...

Do you wanna compare next gen consoles with PS2? PS2 is pure **** even compared to a computer, next gen consoles have new processors, see the specs, dedicated graphical cards and lot of ram, even better than a normal PC nowadays, PS2 have no chances even with XBOX and you can see that in the PC only games, they are a lot better and if companies start making them just for next gen and PC and then convert it we will have much better games than making for PS2 and then convert... using full DVD not allows better graphics or render...

At the moment it is normal that EA produces his new games for current platforms and next-gen. After the next-gen entertainment systems overcomes the game business propably at the end of 2006 or beginning of 2007 every developer will mostly produce games for next-gen only. PC will however survive as always, so you guys don't have to worry about that, but in my opinion the PC's will not reach the power of next-gen consoles (mainly PS3 which has 8 x 3,2GHz Cell units (6) ) until 2009 or 2010... :hump:

The graphics of FIFA 06 which were shown on E3 videos are NOT CG rendered, it is actual in-game footage and whoever says that these are bad graphics is blind. Just look at the grass... And don't judge the game after 4 clips, we all have to see more and after all play the game to judge it. But the graphics are better for a football game than anything before. :jambo:

My 2 cents for now.

Cya ! :mrpimp:

These are all rendered CG shots not in-game .

That is an actual in-game footage, but only for next-gen consoles. PC will probably get a PS2/Xbox conversion, just like Madden 06.

PC will reach and overpower next-gen consoles with the arrive of nVidia's and ATi's new graphics chips at the end of year 2006, and of course there is PPU (Physics Processing Unit).
In the other words, next generation gaming for PC platform begins with UT 2007, and you all know that UT 2007 will use a powerful Unreal Engine 3... Unreal Engine 3 was also used to represent the power of PlayStation 3, so do the math.

I think that this graphics will only be in next gen and PC game will be a conversion of the PS2 version, in 2007 we probably can have this game in PC with this graphics cause ATI and NVIDIA will release their new chipsets...

Those are NOT in-game shots. They are real time rendered (sorry, I was wrong about saying pre-rendered) shots but not actual in-game action shots.
They have been animated especially for the video (like they would do for an intro) but all the lighting effects etc. are rendered by the xbox360/PS3 processing power not rendered in a 3D rendering program.

So it does show off the amazing power of next-gen consoles but it doesn't show off shots of what we'll see happening in-game.

But the graphics will be worst? Cause by the screens i've saw they look the same in the intro, or at least almost the same...

The screenshots might be in-game, probably also rendered by the xbox360/ps3 but I don't think we'll see those shots in the actual game (ie. it was especially created to show of the graphical power but it's not taken from a finished version of the game).
The graphics of the game will most likely match what you see in the video and screenshots. It's up to EA to use the power that is available to them...and there is quite a lot of it.

This is really bad news for PC users. All reviews say that actual gen systems CANT run this effects, so PC users or at least the common ones, will not be able to enjoy this features. Also no gameplay comments ... man I hope EA dosent focus only on graphics if they do that they are dead , PES will own them.
