I dont think the 4th ref saw the incident. I hold a pretty thick headed view on those type of stuff aswell. There's 3 guys that have to control the game and referee the game INSIDE the pitch. If none of the 3 saw it, then i'm sorry.

I didnt even know the 4th ref had autority enough to get a man sent off anyway. If the 4th ref used video evidence to call the linesman and tell him to warn the referee, then it's pretty much ridiculous.

On the other hand, Buffon was telling the linesman something like "You saw it!", and making gestures, so i dont know. Everything about the whole incident was just too damn strange.

if he knew he was gonna get the red, he probably wouldve gone the whole hog. But if he went for the face he definately wouldnt have gotten away with it. Its amazing he nearly got away with it as is

you know what will really annoy me.

is that the second zidane comes out with his version of the truth, everyone will believe it like it is the word of god. even though he may embelish the truth to try and save face. materazzi will get the **** on this because of his "reputation".

zidane has been known to be a **** over the years. it is not like this is the first time he has done something stupid.

imo, it is now each mans word vs another. but obviously, everyone will believe zidane.

Since Materazzi's version included "I don't even know what terrorist means," I think I will go with Zidane's version.

exactly.

"He came off to me with a 'super arrogant' comment, but its true I said something"

(silence)

"did you call him a terrorist?"

"I dont know what that word means. This is my only terrorist" (points at daughter)

HUH?

Help?

You gotta be living under rock if you don't know what a word "terrorist" means and then he calls his daughter a terrorist, like wtf even say that? Wouldn't he know by now that if people say that the word means a bad thing, why would he call his daughter something bad, even if he didn't know what it meant?

Materazzi needed a headbutt in his head, maybe that would have knocked some sense into him

Materazzi said: "I held his shirt, for only a few seconds. He turned towards me and scoffed at me, looking at me with super arrogance, up and down.

"He said 'if you really want my shirt, you can have it later'. It's true, I shot back with an insult."

Its funny he mentoined exactly what Zidane said, but not what he himself said.

I'm sick of all the idiots calling Materazzi names for what he did. You guys act like he's the first and only footballer in history that used insults during a game.

Come on, clearly you are joking right
Materazzi is without a doubt one of the hardest players on the pitch right now. He has a bad name about the fact that he is trying to 'cancel' his opponent with ellbowing and just kicking them off of the pitch.
This is no incident, it's about time he got what he deserved and Zizou was the one to give it to him (Y).
