that album is a f*cking insult. If I hear Be Yourself again I swear I'm gonna go ape sh*t and start a killing spree. If you hear something in the news about some guy who flipped in Portugal it was me.
...dude, you need therapy! It's a great album, with great songs. Listen to it... then talk

1 - Bloc Party ... Silent Alarm 9.5/10

No. No. No.

For a band that's really good with the bouncing guitars, they spoil the record with crappy, god awful soft songs. I also feel the album, at 14/15 tracks long, is a tad too epic for it's own good.

Yeah, I was by pretty disappointed by Prodigy's "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned", too. There's like, what, 1 good on that album? The only real good thing about that album is the album name and cover art.

I have and I'm not into teenie rock, sorry. Audioslave's first was bad as it was compared to ANYTHING by SG. This one is a complete disgrace. Cornell puts Incubus to shame when looking to people with talent gone commercial/MTV friendly.

Yeah I mean it's not THAT bad, but it's just not even close to par with The Fat of the Land or Music for the Jilted Generation.

I quite like some songs mainly Spitfire and Hotride.

I was bored with Audioslave long before Out of Exile came around, to be honest. There came a point when it felt too generic. Be Yourself just confirmed it, really.

Suddenly I'm into Ian Brown and the Happy Mondays. How the sod did that happen?

1. Idlewild - Warnings / Promises

Awesome album, loved it.

2. Stereophonics - Language. Sex. Violence. Other?

Crap compared to their other albums, but i thought it was quality.

3. Dream Theater - Octavarium

Awesome (H)

There are probably others, but i can't be arsed to think/find them.

My brother's really into that Bloc Party band, he went to one of their concerts and I've never seen him so excited before a gig and so pleased after it. I'm not really interested in them, but I've heard a couple of their songs playing from his room and they sound pretty crap to me.

That's the problem. Kids like them, for some reason. I liked them until they started ditching the guitar tracks for soft, crappy efforts.

Daz, don't kid yourself. That album's guff. Again, a nice band going too soft for their own good.

Yeah, I remember hearing their first single (the one where he sings "I'm on fire!" ?) and I liked it a lot, but everything else I've heard since was crap.

Banquet. Yeah, tracks like that are fantastic, but they ruined it with So Here we Are. All those soft tracks just feel so cliched and flat.

Same goes for Two More Years.

Two More Years is just cliched dullness.

In two more years, my sweetheart, we will see another view
Such longing for the past for such completion
What was once golden has now turned a shade of grey
I've become crueler in your presence

They say: 'Be brave, there's a right way and a wrong way'
This pain won't last for ever, this pain won't last for ever

Two more years, there's only two more years
Two more years, there's only two more years
Two more years so hold on

Cliches a plenty, there. You'll be doing 'la la la' in your songs, next....

Started out as a canny guitar band. Now it's generic, consumable pap.
