so tell me, is what I said not true? Didn't you guys buy Zidane, Ronaldo, etc. with money that the government gave you when you guys sold them your training ground?

Moron! lets talk about this season and how we deserve it. We have gelled, played as a team and played with hunger, determination and heart and that's why we've grinded out some tough matches. That's the difference. And about Real Estate, there's such a thing as "Value in Use" which basically prices something based upon need, want, and basically how much you value it for personally....I won't get into much details but I'll ask you: Is the rent or mortgage you pay overpriced/ are your car payments overpriced, etc? So STFU. Read a book:jambo:

You're an idiot. Everybody knows that Madrid played horrendously for most of the season and were lucky to still be in the race by the time they finally started to "gel."

Sevilla were the best team in La Liga this season, but they will (most likely) not be rewarded as such. Unlucky finish to a great campaign.

How do you define the best team than? The one who wins the title or who plays the best or what? Let me ask you this, if we do win it will you say it was deserved? Because I don't see how Sevilla or Barca could deserve it if they don't get the win's or points to actually win the title.

I have to agree with you there, even though it's not the popular opinion amongst my fellow Barca supporters.

Dear Sir,

Have you calmed down yet or are you still being a ****? If you deserved to win the match, you would put the ball in the net to win. You didn't. Get over it. One game doesn't make a season. If you deserved to win the league you would be top. I'm not saying Barca and Real don't get preferential treatment, but you're clutching at straws. You were not playing Barca or Real were you?

Answer me this aslo, against Tottenham in the 2nd leg in the uefa cup, Poulsen stood on the head of a Tottenham player (Jenas I thinK) and the likes of Alves and Adriano were throwing themselves to the floor at every opportunity. Don't even mention the dodgy penalty.

ALL DECISIONS EVEN OUT! No ref is out to get you.

Yours sincerly,
Concerned Listener

PS. You ever tell me to shut the **** up again and I'll make you eat your keyboard. Good day.
We played Tottenham in UEFA, with foreign refs not spanish ones..

No ref is out to get you..haha, they said the same exact thing in Italy and then it all just came out.

In soccer the best team doesn't always win the match. I think this season will be an example that the best team in the league doesn't always win the title.

Sevilla were the best in La Liga throughout the season. We had the most impressive performances, almost always controlling our matches, and were rarely outplayed. Even the Madrid-biased Marca dedicated a front page to, "Partidazos los del Sevilla."

We reached the finals in the UEFA Cup and Copa del Rey which means three things: 1) We were the best Spanish team outside of the league, though that doesn't really apply to this discussion. 2) We played far more games than any other team in Spain. 3) We never had the luxery of focusing on the league.

All things considered, I think we have been better than Madrid or Barcelona and if you disagree with me, you're disagreeing as well with the analysts at Cadena SER, As, and El Pais who all chose Sevilla as the best team of the season:

Oh, and if you go to "Resultados de los lectores" you will see that the Madrid-biased voters also chose Sevilla by a huge margin.

I won't disagree with anything you said. BUt I wish you take into consideration one thing. The changing point in this race was the game between sevilla and real madrid. Everyone said that this game would determine wether sevilla would win the league or not, and what happened?? the better team won.

Although you have been the best team for the better part of the season, Real madrid have become the best team for the second half of the season.

Of course Real Madrid deserve it if they win it. The team that comes out on top after 38 games always deserves it, even if they didnt play the best football around. (This doesnt take away they had a hell lot of luck this season)

Yes, regretfully a tie there would have helped us greatly, but we have kept up with Madrid in the race since. It was more of a setback than a turning point. You can't say "the better team won." We were outplayed, I will be the first to admit, but we were also playing in a raucous Bernabeu and only four days after an exhausting semifinal against Osasuna. You can't honestly consider that match an even comparison of the teams.

I was going to admit that this was true, but then I realized I've been reading too much Marca. Once I started looking at Madrid's results for the season, I realized that even in April the team was still playing poorly.

It wasn't until the next match against Osasuna that Madrid started to play convincingly. So, I guess you could say that they've been the best team of the last QUARTER of the season. But wait, is this even so true? Madrid had big wins against Valencia and Sevilla. Aside from that, we have matched or bettered the results of Madrid in the span while winning UEFA and Copa matches at the same time. For example:

Madrid beat Osasuna 2-0. So did we in the UEFA semis.
Madrid beat Athletic 1-4. So did we the week before.
Madrid beat Espanyol in the dying moments. We dominated Espanyol in a 3-1 win the week before.
Madrid beat Recre in the dying moments. We beat them comfortably the week before.
Madrid beat Deportivo. So did we the week before.
Madrid tied Zaragoza in the dying moments. We dominated Zaragoza in a 3-1 win the week before.

Madrid hasn't been the late-season juggernaut that the media has been painting them as. I would say that Madrid has been the most EXCITING team of the late-season.

Sevillista, as much as it hurts me to admit this, I have to say that the mark of a champion is the ability to win, even when they aren't playing well.

If they hold on, this will be a much less brilliant champion than in the past, but I'm sure the blancos won't care.

Anyway, you never responded to my comment above...
Yeah, I spent about half an hour writing a rant and just gave up. Basically I was writing that the season-long disappointments of Madrid and to a lesser extent Barcelona, resulting in their own fans whistling them off the field, was hardly the mark of a champion. I would understand your point if the teams had won a few matches that they played poorly, but it's been a majority of their wins that they've accumulatedly in disappointing fashion.

Sevilla have dominated in most of their wins and were the better half in most of their ties and losses.

Either way, my point has simply been that Sevilla were the best team in La Liga. Whether they deserve to be champions... that's up to your philosophy on soccer.
