It's so simple, after I played a couple of matches with the PES 3 demo, i finally understand the thing about PES:
It's an arcade game nothing more, nothing less.
I know Fifa has it flaws, but PES got them too and then GTA Vice City does, Rise of nations, should I go on?
No the thing is I always thought that there were two kinds of footygame fans in this world:
- Arcade style (PES)
- Simulation style (FIFA)
but there are three I guess, a combination of those two is also a possibillity.
No offense but PES just isn't my game, it was FIFA, it is FIFA and it will always be FIFA.
But I finally got the chance to check out PES and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by it, but then again not my kind of footygame.
To all PES fans out there: It's a great game, not my game, but for those who like it, I think it's a great game.
Maybe if EA bought Konami or vice versa, then we could have a game for everybody, but untill then I guess we will keep the PES/FIFA discussion
Can I ask you a question? Do you know the difference between Arcade and Simulation?
How can you say PES 3 is an arcade? and how is it possible that fifa 2004 is a simulation? So in your openion fast bullet shots, unrealistic ball physics makes a simulation game? PES3 is more like a simulation. It takes time to score, it takes an effort for you to get a the ball behind the keeper. In FIFA 2004 I can score all my goal in long range shot, basic controlling will make me score.
