I think Van der Sar is still sponsored by Adidas. He has been in an Adidas football advert before (Euro 2000) and has his name on his Adidas gloves.

If a player is sponsored by a brand, let's say Adidas, does he have to change his boots each time a new colourway appears? For example Robben with the F50+: he was wearing the black/blue ones (the first colourway), which was perfect with Chelsea kit but each time a new coulourway was launched he changed his boots to the new ones. Does he have to or it's just his choice?

when people buy a boot, whether they notice it of not, which colour they buy is affected buy who wears them......
people like robben and lampard have to atleast wear a few different colourways each year, but Zidane only wears original/black boots.
but i presume that that is because he is zizou.

but they definitely are not forced to wear every colourway that comes out.

I don't know, I haven't seen the game, and the quality of the stream was bad. But from what I've seen, I think he didn't wear the Cyber Gold F50+. And thanks for the pics.

But I have one more question. Steaua played against Rosenborg last week and I saw at a player black/white Predator Pulses. And I haven't seen them in my life, were they customized for him? I don't remember the player's name, maybe rbk can tell us.

Yeah i saw that game, i'm certain that they were customised.
Here in England, you can get customised colourways of pulses from MiAdidas at Harrods in London. They used to do over a hundered different colour combo's but i think they only do a few colours now that the pulses are coming to the end of their lifespan.
They scan your feet and make them to fit your feet perfectly.

By the way Release dates for the new Absolutes:-

White/Yellow 15/12/05
Black/Red 12/01/06
Maroon (Beckham Model) 12/01/06
Blue/White 15/03/06

Apparently their will be other models coming out too just before and after the world cup which will be used by Adidas players during the World Cup.
I know that Beckham will have another pair which he will be using for the first time leading up to the World Cup.

Although there not coming out first, i'm sure that the Black/Red Absolutes will be distributed to players at the same time as the White/Yellow.
Due to players not wanting to look too flashy wearing white boots (Zidane for example.)

I don't think he's had them yet, but there was a photoshopped pic by adidas of him wearing them circling the net somewhere.
