I would say the answer is that he wears adidas boots because adidas is technical sponsor of Bayern München. Normally all player have to wear adidas boots.

Not really. I mean Bayern Munchen, as any other adidas team, receives a number of boots for each player of the team. That's part of the contract for sure, but the players don't have to wear it if they don't want to or if they have a contract with another sportswear company.

Oddo for example, probably took those adiPURES just because he found them in his locker and he had no other boots to wear after he ended his contract with puma. I don't think he wanted to advertise adidas just because adidas is the technical sponsor of Bayern or because is a thing written in his contract. It just happened ...

one part of the contract is that the players have to wear adidas boots. but for some players with personal contracts they make's an exception to the rule until there contracts ends

Now that's something that can't be explain. Let's say De Jong's contract with adidas ended, but Hamburg's technical sponsor it's also adidas. So I think the adidas clubs don't have this kind of clause that says that all the players of team should wear adidas boots after all. Or maybe now he really has a contract with Nike ...

No, I've readed that the most german clubs a clause with the technical sponsors that they have to wear the own boots. These are the clubs:
Bayern München, Hertha BSC, Hamburger SV, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Schalke & Borussia Dortmund. Players with personal sponsoring contract could wear his own boots.

I don't believe that's the 2010 PREDATOR. But if it is, I HATE IT. I won't buy any. I surely have a lot of PREDATOR boots but I won't buy this ugly ones for sure ...

hehehe.. believe it man... and if adidas decided to change it's model, than this one will be very rare item...

are you sure you won't buy it? maybe it's look bad (sorry for my pic) but I've seen it, and it's great!!! I like it better than the current model... especially when they decided to put no tongue... :P

That's the point man. The PREDATOR always had a tongue. This one sucks without one. I'd prefer a Tiempo then this new Pred. If you ask me, the PowerSwerve it's the best boot adidas ever made.

And I remembered, adidas will release the CL PowerSwerve soon. They are black with gold or something. The quality of the pic isn't quite good.



They'll probably release this one in the week of the final and the boot will be advertised by the players that will play in the final and that usually wear PowerSwerves. That's the way adidas usually do it with this PREDATOR CL boot.

I did some detailed researches and I found some things.

The new adidas PREDATOR will actually be called Truestrike, not Velocity. Also the next F50's will be called adidas F50 Tuniti. I found this pics with Higuain wearing the next F50's template and Raul wearing the PREDATOR one.





It seems that the new Predator really is the one posted before. The one without a tongue. If you ask me, it SUCKS !

Also, adidas will launch late this year, these new adiPURE II colorways:



Now talking about Nike, it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo is the first one to wear the new Nike MV Superfly template, also during a training session.



Also, I would like to introduce you the new Nike Tiempo III



It seems like this new Tiempo won't feature the Air Zoom sole unit that has featured in the past 2 models of the boot.
