All of my programs have turned into .exe files

Sorry, not .exe files, but LNK files.

I can't open my WinAmp, KaZaA, nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. I keep getting a prompt that asks me what I want to open my files up with.

Any help?

You mean like in the CProgram Files\Winamp directory, winamp.exe has changed to winamp.lnk?

All of my program extensions turned to .LNK, but nevermind though. I've reformatted my computer.

Man, I feel bad for you.

Nah, I had previously backed up all of my important files (mp3s, videos, jpegs, progs, etc.) on to a DVD, incase anything were to ever happen to my computer. I'm glad I did that, because I would have been screwed.

The reason my .exe files and everthing else turned into .lnks is because I was foolishly messing around the registry.
