The contoller menu in Pro Evo is a cause of great frustration for me. I am trying to set up my Wingman cordless to use the same buttons I do in Fifa. I use the 1st ingame controller menu to correct the buttons, then the 2nd to set up the buttons as I wish. Then I go to a game and its all to pot. I then check the 1st menu to see that the settings I made in the 2nd menu has F*ck@d up the settings. I have tried about 6 times now also trying the settings before I get in game. No joy. I keep going back to Fifa and swearing, so please help with your solutions.

it's the menu. Fool around with it for a while. You'll eventually get it.
I gonna have a proper sit down to sort it, thanks. However Cro, I will continue playing Fifa as I think it does somethings better and I will never get so bigotted to think I know wots best for everyone else. I hate these Fifa v PES arguments that you should trash one and worship the other, thats tripe.
sorry man, I just believe, as do 95% of the others who've tried both games, that PES3 is clearly the supperior product and FIFA is unplayable.
And trashing a bad product is not only something we all SHOULD do, its something that is OUR DUTY to do, and use this forum to our very best ability to trash and criticise (constructively or otherwise) every product, and its our DUTY to compare two competing games of the same genre and evaluate each as to their merits and flaws.
We are the consumers, its OUR MONEY, and if you have come to a discussion forum in order to "keep quiet" and not argue a point, then you've missed the point of a discussion forum entirely. In fact you start a thread in a "FIFA vs. PES" forum, and you claim to hate the arguments....don't you find that strange?
So if saying FIFA is a an absolutely horrible game and comparing it to the best sports simulation in existance is somehow construed as bigotry by the likes of you, I'll wear that badge proudly, thank you very much !!

It may also be an opinion of mine that the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" is better than "Dude where's my Car", and according to an overwhelming number of reviewers, academies and general people, it is better. So based on overwhelming opinion I can safely say that "Redempion" is the better movie.
Something doesn't have to be a fact in order for it to be accepted, it can be accepted simply by virtue of popular opinion or lack of evidence to prove otherwise, especially a football game that can be compared to the real sport.
It's not about not accapting different opinions, if I met someone who regards Adolf Hitler a hero I would have to accept his opinion, what choice do I have? I wouldn't agree with him, but since 99%% of the world media, population, historians, experts etc. agrees with me, I can safely call Hitler a villian without having to justify my claim to a population who believe him to be a hero. Or having to add to this that my views are merely opinions bla bla. When confronted by serious scrutiny and analysys, my arguments against Hitler would be more persuasive than his in favour of Hitler.
Same in PES3 and FIFA2004, when the arguments are evaluated, its a FACT that the arguments suggesting PES3 is the far supperior product are much more convincing than the arguments which hope to prove FIFA is the better of the two...
I believe calling PES3 a much better game than FIFA2004 is mater of fact, not opinion. We can compare them to the real thing, and FIFA is uncomparable, whereas PES3 is the best recreation of the sport available...fact !
As I say, my opinions differ and you have to accept that. Also accept that I will keep on playing Fifa and PES3 and I dot want anyone to tell me which I should bin and which I should play. Thank you. Facts are never based on numerical opinions and should never be. In fact if you take the sales figures of these games wouldnt you also want to argue on that basis. Then what does it mean that Fifa sells big or soars the charts as well as PES? It does not mean it is a good game or poor game. U cannot base facts on numerical opinions or there are many areas you would have to explain the inconsistencies.

what? what the hell are you trying to say? People have opinions, be it about Hitler, Saddam, Bush, taxes, movies or video games...but since one product is clearly and painfully superrior, its a FACT that PES3 is the better game, and the better simulation.

Granted, the people who prefer FIFA to PES are definitely in the minority. And I'm not one of them: I was converted from FIFA to PES just recently. However, that doesn't mean that I suddenly think that all FIFA fans are turds.
