Unfortunately the old threat with your Emails vanished, but I just uploaded the World Cup GAMEPLAY -Patch at www.fifafx.de and I hope you will like it.

Any suggestions for further improvements are welcome.

most important changes:

- improved goalies
- removed humbling-tumbling tackles
- improved passing (longer as well as shorter passing possible)
- changing direction while powerbar is loading enabled

and much more...

Vielen Dank für das nächste Super-Patch!
Allerdings finde ich, dass der Pro-Level durch das Patch etwas zu einfach geworden ist.
Gibts vielleicht eine Einstellung in der soccer.ini, dass der Computer etwas besser nach vorne spielt und auch mal das Tor trifft?

Are these patches for FIFA 2002 WC? Or are they patches for FIFA 2002 that gives it the WC option? It isn't particularly clear anywhere. Don't want to install it if it screws up everything in WC 2002.

Great patch!!

I am a newbie when it comes to PC soccer games and I just want to say thank you for this awesome download. The first time I tried to play on professional level I got killed 8-1, but after I installed your gameplay patch my next game on professional I won on a golden goal 3-2.

Lot less frustrating now!!

humbling bumbling

hi bolzer...my game crashed to desktop when i replaced my soccer.ini with yours..

so i exported the diff files from ini.big and changed the values according to your own...

however where should i place this

HT_FALL_BK_LOW2_REACT = 0

HT_FALL_FD_MED_FROM_180_REACT = 0
HT_FALL_FD_MED_FROM_180N_REACT = 0
HT_FALL_FD_MED_FROM_90N_REACT = 0

in ai ,aimain or aidiff?

btw i still get the players bumbling when i do conservative tackles...can u explain which part of the values u changed to remove this bumbling tackle thing?

Hi Haukur Gudnason,

I can help you on the bumbling tackles...
Look for the option NEW_TACKLES = 1 in the ai.ini file!
Change the 1 to a 0 and that will turn off the bumbling tackles.

So it should look like:

NEW_TACKLES = 0

I'm a newbie here and I must say that it is extremely frustrating getting my *** kicked by the CPU who can do nothing wrong and everything right. I'm barely able to even have a touch on the ball, let alone get a shot on goal.

I've tried to install this gameplay patch with no success. I tried editing the ini.big and the game would not start. I stuck in the downloaded SOCCER.INI and game crashed. I edited the soccer.ini with the new info pasted in between the info already in my .ini and FIFA WC 2002 would load, but crash to desktop when match would start.

Can anyone help me out with trying to get this to work? Thanks!!

I dunno how to get it working, either. I read the readme's etc. But when I install FIFAFX, there is no .exe file afterward!

I liked the pace of the game and the modified tackling - I no longer tumble everywhere when I attempt one. Conversely, my players with high tackling rating are much more succesful at stripping the opponent - something that was very one-sided in favor of the computer in Pro mode prior to installing this patch.

There are a two things that I still don't like about: too many offsides, and I never get fouled. I tried putting moves on players to see if they would knock me down so I could get a free kick but it NEVER happens.

These two things notwithstanding, this patch has made the game 100 times more enjoyable. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Well there are a few offside,but the thing is,the linesmen do call them rightfully offside unlike Italy's games

I updated the gameplay-patch recently and fixed some little bugs with too much offside for example, so just download the same file again (it includes the updated soccer.ini)

It includes new edited cameraangles for all matchsituations and some all new default cameras.

Just install the Patch and test it. The amazing INGAME camera can be found by pressing the number 7 cam = Dynamic.

this got a 40 pixel enlarged blue oval, the screenshot is taken with 1024 resolution, and I guess its big enough now ?

I just don't want you to make it larger. I thing it shoul be bigger in all the sizes.

almost all screenshots from his patches he posts here are germany x brazil, since months before the wc starts
