AMD vs Pentium 4

I had amd back in 1998 and had nothing but problems, and since then when to pentium, from what the experts tel me there is little difference now although they also reckon that there is a heat problem with AMD where pentiums stay cooler for a longer period.

I'm running a P4 2.53GHZ

AMD r better value for money, Intels are meant to be better quality but i think that AMD have sorted out the heat problem and i'd stick with AMD purely because intels are too expensive.

I'm hoping to get an Athlon XP2400+ for £55 :p

bull, amd don't have a heat problem...
Its just that windows didn't support them properly.
Amd are better chips be £ of money you spend... there clock processing is faster, they have a better FSB and are now or will be based on 64 architecture....
I think AMD are much better then pentium
