I just got one question.
why the hell do they call it football? They kick the ball like, 10 times during an entire game?
It's not football, it's handball...they should rename NFL to NHA, National Hanball Association

what makes me laugh is he must have put some thought into it, cos he new National Handball LEague would have been NHL, so he changed it to association :D

it doesn't really take much thinkingpower to know that there already exists an NHL in the US.
For normalthinking humans it should take about 2 secs.

They called it football because they thought it would be a good name and because there's nothing else which is specifically referred to as football in the US.

Plus there's already a sport called handball.

I'm not sure where football got its name from but I know that it evolved from rugby after it was introduced by the British. Both soccer and rugby were very popular at Ivy League schools.

it was a mix apparently, but they prefered rugby. The forward pass wasnt introduced straight away

indeed

in the beggining, It was taken straight from Rugby and involved kicking the ball a good number of times


but as the years went on - the ball changed shape ( use to be round just like football ( Soccer ) and the forward pass was invented....

to what it is now - obviously they cant change the name - its like suddenly renaming Manchester something else

or renaming football too.... kickball :D
