An Incovenient Truth

There is one thing I learned from this movie........

WE'RE F*CKED!!!

The referrences to Gore's political life were shameless but none the less .....well.....true

This movie extends all the evidence to the public.
Not a word he says regarding the data is false.
The presentation is nice, but boring to the average joe shmo, im sure.

The best part for me was the American car companies failure.

He drives the point home that this issue can't be ignored.........in fact he gave me the feeling that it is too late.

However

We can't go " from denial to acceptance with stopping in the middle step of doing something about it"

so I guess ill go plant a tree or something.

This issue will not be solved unless the US gov. changes the rules of the game. Major and fast change needs to occur.

Some step have been taken more need to follow and quickly.

I find it hilarious the fact that in America they actually question the very existence of global warming.

I don't.

It was 100 degrees today, and yesterday, and should be tomorrow. It's not usually that hot until July.

His explanation of the variations in temperature were facinating as well. It explains why winters are so warm lately and how summers are cooler overall, May and June for example felt more like September and October.

Come to Melbourne. The weather is weird as here. One day it'll be hot, the next freezing.

Winter here has been extremely cold, I don't remember it being this cold last year, or the year before.

In summer we have a number of hot days but never consistantly for weeks on end like we used to. I remember I used to go to school and every day it used to get into the high 30s constantly. Now I find we are having one or two hot days a week and the rest are just... well, warm...

I don't know if it is just some pattern in the weather... apparently in the 70s people were saying there was going to be another ice age... now people are saying its getting too hot?

I don't know.

I've experienced some great snowfalls in late 1980s, but not a damn one until 2005.. it may be because of El Nino but actually I dont know..

the weird one is though, my grandma's mother told me that there were such big snowfalls in 1950's that they struggle to open the door, the snow would be 2-2.5 meters long.. none of which occurs today..

so I suppose global warming is on and we are all in deep **** until we do something serious about that..

I took a "Global Warming" college class this semester. The Chinese are inventing new ways of using a method to take away all the CO2 in the atmosphere, make it into liquid, and then bury it in old empty oil plantation fields.

I believe its called CO2 sequestering and Gore talked about it in the film.
