this couldnt be the last Rivaldo thread! The last one will surely be a thread reading something like "Official : Rivaldo joins Team X"

THAT will be the last, almost certainly

So is this the last thread?

He has signed a contract for one year and he may leave when Europe's transfer window opens again but only to Europe. The contract came alive since the club's coach, Wanderlei Luxemburgo former Brazilian NT coach, and Rivaldo were in touch daily. Rivaldo is expected to arrive at the club next Thursday.

Rivaldo decide jogar no Cruzeiro

yeah but I guess he wants to go back to Europe at the future. Even though the Arabian club's president had confirmed the player coming to his club for the next five months for US$3 million, the player chose to stay in Brazil. The contract fees haven't been stated yet but Cruzeiro has just won the Brasileirao and they were the richest club in Brazil even before they got their first Brazilian Championship so you could say that Rivaldo may even get the same money he would of gotten at Arabia.

I hope in the summer he comes to the EPL,either at Man Utd or Liverpool, maybe even Newcastle. i dont believe he is washed up,id still put him as one of the top ten best players in the world.

I don't really think that it will be that low since good players that play in Brazil usually get 250,000 a month. Who knows. By the way, Cruzeiro are releasing two players to get Rivaldo and Guilherme ( a good striker that does his job well):mrpimp:

Finally a good idea by Rivaldo. Instead of joining the EPL (bad idea) or going to Arabia (bye-bye Brazil NT) he did the smart thing and went back to Brazil. There he can stay under the coaches eyes and he can also play with a big team, in big cups, and be considered a star.

Yeah, but no offense to Saudi Arabians, but if he played in their league you think anybody would pay attention to what's going on over there? Highly unlikely. A player of his calibre needs to stay at a league of his calibre.

Well, Rivaldo is getting R$ 250,000 per month, which isn't even US$ 100,000. One more reason for Rivaldo going to Cruzeiro was that Siemens Mobile is now patrocinating Cruzeiro and paying half Rivaldo's salary. Siemens Mobile was trying to patrocinate Sao Paulo and by that bringing Rivaldo along, but the old Sao Paulo patrocinator didn't wanna end its contract early so Siemens Mobile along with Rivaldo went to Cruzeiro which sucked for Sao Paulo.:kader:
