Well I said this back in FIFA 2002, they are a Canadian company and so they will no doubt spend a fraction of their time and money on the FIFA series and more on the NHL and Madden games.

Football is a minority sport in North America and isnt taken too seriously. I do wish they'd sell the franchise to a British Company like Rockkstar Games - yeah I know they don't make sports games, but they could hire decent designers from around Europe and maybe we would get a game that didnt have more scripts than a Spielberg movie.

Time an again we have told EA to lose the scripted CPU goals, they have gotten even worse in this title...as far as I can see the only goals the CPU scores are in front of goal from about 17 yards!
Yep, the sooner they send it to Europe to be developed, the better.

Look at the quality of the Madden & NHL Games. That's a preview of how good FIFA could be, if they sent it to a country where the sport is the most popular sport.

quit playing against the computer!!!
Who cares about one player crap if you can play online?!?!
I havent really touched the career mode yet......and I have the ps2 version!

anyway the problem with the pk is that everything is scripted on it. So even if the keeper saves it and there is a rebound, the rebound automatically goes somewhere where the stricker isnt, so the point is- if you miss you miss. even if there were other players, I dont think the rebound would fall their way. the ball always goes out of bounds

I don't understand why they leave it up to canadians to make the Fifa series. Nothing against canadians, it just doesnt make sense for a hockey country to be making a game that people around the world play. I mean, why not leave it to the Europeans? I'm sure even them would recognize how important the Conmebol is thus put all 10 South Americans teams in there! I mean, to put bull$hit countries and clubs from a$ia instead of more important South American countries is just rediculous! And who gives a $hit if asia a big market, anyways they pirate all their games... i say f*ck them! :f***:

Anyways, i'm gonna be holding out on Fifa 2005 for the PS2 until it goes down to $20.

Guys what the hell. I'm playing as a division 2 england team and I'm enjoying realistic football (save a few).

One thing you have to do is do harder levels of difficulty, such as pro, the comp pulls off really good stuff.

I've seen (this is in div 2) perfect lobs + one touch into the net, i've seen fakes around my players, I've seen 360 spins to fool my two defenders, I've seen some other crazy stuff. Problem is right now, I don't see anything, because I'm polishing up my skills before world class and i don't get scored on ever.
People complain about being owned by the comp with its perfect passes... well here's a hint - don't let him do perfect passes! I suffered from the same thing till I read a topic on how to defend, now I never get scored on (and I do play good teams, too... i dont get scored on then, either)

As for having nobody to support your strikers, that's your own fault, that's what the manual run button is for. I get as many players as I have in my midfield line supporting me on some occasions.
If you want perfect passes, that's what the nice Z button is for. You can't believe how useful it is. Now, isntead of just clearing with the shoot button/lobbing with the lob button, use Z, send your guy on a run, lob it straight to him from defense. One fake, one sprint, one shot, the ball's in the net. Easy as that.

if you can't get past the defense, you suck.... fifa is realistic enough - you don't have to do moves to fake out a guy. just sprinting in a different direction works most of the time.

Basically, FIFA with requires some labor to make the game realistic. If you suck, your game will look like a middle school game, if you are good, it'll look like the real stuff. I'm somewhere in between, and that's exactly what it looks like - somewhere in between.
I have to get credit to PES for being realistic without much input from the person who plays it. However, PES has enough of its own bugs (I played the damn thing for like a year), and those are far less realistic than anything in FIFA 2005.

I haven't seen PES 4 tho.... i really want to. I have no doubt that no matter how much better FIFA got, PES will still beat it.

FIFA does not need to be moved to europe just because soccer is the most popular sport. argument does not stand up as in Japan baseball and pro wrestling are bigger than soccer but just look how well konami do. i wanna see fifa moved to japan, when was the last time a excellent footy title came out of europe?

That's good advice as well! I'd say, enough f...g around with "pathetic" kits fashion design and adboards editing and let's play The Game!
