the problem with the french league is that there isn't really a best team, the number 2 loses much points, as well as the others, mostly the nr.2 was only leading 5 or so points over number 8 at the end of the season in France. If you aren't the nr. 1 it is a very exciting league I think.

In all the other countries you have teams always doing well:
Holland: Ajax and PSV
Italy: Inter, Juve, Milan etc.
England: ManU, Arsenal etc.
Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia etc.

They win most of their matches, but in france when I played there the number 2 sometimes only had like won half of all the games:kader:

Still going strong with no games lost or drawn in January. Nelio(My brazilian talent) wanted a very big amount of money and I wouldn't give him that but then sneaky Porto came here and snapped him for free away from Stade l'Abbe-Descamps :f***:
He actually thinks he can get minutes there...

Something terrible happend to me yesterday:
I've got an system crash with my C drive so this way all my save files including Auxerre were vanished in a matter of seconds.

I'll start a new game someday with another team and try to get them to the glory that I gave Auxerre. I'll keep posting the updates of that team in this thread.

Ok, after having problems finding a nice team I choose the challenge of the serie C1/B club Catanzaro
My pre-season went good but not very good, the results were: 2-1(lost vs a lower division club), 1-5(win vs a lower division club), 1-1(vs a Serie B club), 1-3(win vs a serie B club)

hi max, catanzaro caught my eyes as well, as there are more cups to play (include C1 Cup) ...

i just started not long ago, in my humble opinion, Toledo schould play better as midfield playmaker at AMC position ... :)

Update:

March 2004: 1st with 12 pts ahead of #2 Taranto, Bought a right back Marco Bellochi and a striker partner for Corona, Alex Ambrosini(17 year old came here for 10.000 plus 10.000 monthly installments) also signed a old but strong russian centre back for free: Dobri Mitov.
I also bought promising winger: Jean Emmanuel Maleb.
I'll try to update you with some screens of them later.
Next transfer target is a GK, any ideas?

@pmg4tlkan: good squad, but I think you shouldn't put great Toledo there cuz he hasn't got the stats for that(yet) he's a dribbling legend and good crosser everything what a winger needs.

thanks for the advice, max ... but i'm playing diablo tactic and at this position ... he still scores! :)

hmmm ... but i noticed that once he is off, the whole team weaken down dramatically ... maybe i'll get somemore players in ...

as for a keeper ... if possible, get Kasper Schemeichel ... if not, try getting Vasco's Chico on loan ...

Nope I use the dirty trick Ruud post once in the "tips and tricks to beat CM" thread to keep him. I ask 15 million euros for him and then they will always cancel the deal so in this way Toledo is not unhappy that the transfer bid was rejected.

I think Schmeichel doesn't wanna come as I have a regional reputation, but I'll try to loan chico mayb he wants.
