That's key. The whole point to them. To desensitize the public to death. It's not just in school shootings but also movies or the news in general. When hundreds of thousands die, you won't feel affected the same way.

Anyone heard of Manchurian candidate shootings? This fellow judging by the news stories is one of those...same with the guy who called the fuzz to his home and then shot them.
