guys I have a problem: the games is fluid but sometimes I the problem of micro-stuttering, so the frame is really low and then it comes back to normal.
I applied some resolution for fifa 14 (change using ati tool all performances to top, and it was working!) but this time the problem is still there...
can you suggest something?
I have a amd fx4100, 6 gb ram ddr3 & radeon hd6750 da 1gb

Your graphics card is 5 years old, that's the problem. FIFA 14 ran great on my older laptop. But FIFA 15 and 16 have much higher minimum requirements, I have to play both on the lowest possible settings. If you have set your graphic card settings to the lowest they go, then make sure no other programs are running on your PC when playing FIFA 16. Go into task manager and shut off all unnecessary programs.

Keep tweaking around with the LOD and other settings till you get a decent output.

Stuttering issues

Hey guys!

I'm new to this forum. I admit, I've been selfish - kept using information and data from it but I've never created an user account, although I found a lot of great stuff here. I guess from now on I can at least thank people for their contribution.

These are my system specs:
AMD 8320 FX-Series 8-Core 3.5 GHz,
Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 512-bit TRI-X OC edition,
AMD Radeon Memory R9 Gamer Series Memory 8GB, DDR3 2133,

I run the game on 1980x1280 res, MSAA 2x and my edited ULTRA LOD settings.lua. (unable to attach)
I've been having problems with performance from the very beginning. :taz:
I mostly play the game alone and when I do I only use the PRO camera - which requires some extra 'juice', but that shouldn't be a problem with my specs. Should it?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

That's where I would start... lower your lod settings. I play using the pro cam only as well. FIFA is odd, it runs better on my older laptop/card than my newer one, both this year and last. I always go into the graphics control panel, shut everything off, then start tweaking for performance.

Thanks for the info. I guess only FIFA would work better on older PCs - damned thing!

I've been meddling about but to no avail yet... I'll keep trying!

well guys after the upgrade and some times without playing, so far I have my game which is really unplayable, it gives me around 40-50 fps every time, and actually my pc is not bad (amd fx4100, 6 gb ram ddr 3, hd 7870 2 gb) and the resolution I play is only 1360*768, whit low resolution! I'm using radeonpro but no effects, really I don't know how to improve!!

Remove crowd, set all graphics card settings to low. If it doesn't run after that, you should probably reformat your PC. Still no help, then a new PC sounds in order.

I suggest you check your temps, I had this issue for a day and it was due to high cpu temps.

Clean your machine for optimal cooling or upgrade your hardware.

I have constantly problems with in-game lagging and micro-stuttering even my configuration is above minimum requirements.

I've tried everything: update Windows, graphics driver, tweaking Radeon PRO settings, clean machine, use Razer Game Booster, but nothing can help me to play the game in 1920x1080 without lagging. Only way I play FIFA 16 is on res. 1280x768 on Windowed mode (Low gr., MSAA x 2, FPS limited to 60), but graphics is like on 5-6 years old Fifa editions. Isn't it ridiculous to spend money to play the new game with bad graphics?

Otherwise, FIFA 15 working fine, but to make things interesting even FIFA 16 demo works much better than full version. Anyone know what is the problem?

I have a older, low end graphics card like you. I have to tweak my card settings and lower the resolution to avoid stuttering, like you. Plus I installed the game on my sweetie's new laptop she got in January, and it of course runs smooth as silk on the highest settings and highest resolution. Very simple answer to your question in other words. The problem is having an older PC and needing an upgrade because the game will never run properly otherwise.

I had the same problem with FIFA 15, but since I increased RAM from 4 to 6 GB the game runs smooth even on high resolution (1920x1080, MSAA 4x, Framerate lock to 60 FPS). FIFA 16 DEMO works almost as well as FIFA 15, so I wonder how the demo works better if it has exactly same graphics requirements as a full version of the game??

It seems to depend on your rig, not the game. I've been playing FIFA on my laptop since 2012. The 2012 game worked okay but not great, 2013 worked perfectly, 2014 had micro-stutter issues, 2015 had no stutter issues, and 2016 works great for the first few minutes of each game, then stutters after that. Every year I cross my fingers and hope I can tweak the game so it runs.

I tried this setup for my game and it got rid of the mid-game stuttering, FINALLY. Thanks.

:33vff3o:

1280x768, but I can play only in window adapted to that resolution. If maximize window, then begins to stutter and lag. The game works better for me on resolution 1280 x 720. Graphics is approximately as Fifa 12.
