Truly sad! this will be hard on the team but I've seen teams triumph in the memory of one of there comrades. All the best to the players family, the club and the fans. I really feel sorry for him.

i can't be sad for a person who lived a good life when there's thousands of people dying in ways that i can't even imagine. who gives a s*** about all the people dying of starvation ? no one. but a player dies and everyone is sorry
i'm sorry too but that's life, i'm sad but all this talk about him makes me sick
i guess Stalin was right "the death of one is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic"
I hope you and the rest of your familly die of AIDS you emo moron...

For those who are interested, here is a video of Puerta's shining moment. It was in the 100th minute, in our 100th season, in the UEFA semifinal against Schalke. It sent us to our first European final, "la copa que nos cambio la vida." Puerta brought me the happiest moment I've ever experienced as a fan, and today he left me with the saddest. I've been on the brink all day, but listening to that call, the same I listened to so ecstatically live last year, the tears finally came.

Schalke, the team he eliminated with that gem, announced they will hold a ceremony in his honor. I am astounded by the depth of support that has been pouring in from our opposition.

i think that was unnecessary but if that makes you feel better...
for the last time i'm sorry if i offended anyone. if i did that wasn't my intention
i think i made my point with the other posts regarding my golbal point of view

now speaking only of football, this collapses are becoming really concerning. foe, feher, puerta, now this player from nottingham also is very seriously ill,
all these players in a short period of time suffer from sudden collapses and probably more than i don't even know of
i mean aren't players supposed to be healthy ? i don't understand this and i think no one understands it yet
it's almost a question of who's the next player...

RIP
I think the problem is undiagnosed heart defects combined with the stress the body goes through in top level professional football, I'm not sure what can be done about from a medical point of view as I'm sure he would have been thoroughly tested, I just hope clubs take extra precautions with players.

Just saw an hour long special on TVE...very moving. That was his finest goal and moment as a player. What's sad is that he had many of those moments left in his career. He was a huge part of Sevillas greatness. I am truly truly sadened and I know that you as a Sevilla fan must feel it even more. I'd like to say that I am right there with you my friend and the whole Sevilla family. Today we are all fans of Sevilla FC.
