Any tips on scoring at 3 stars

Have atleast 2-3 players up front. Try to dominate possesion, if your going at a good defence you will need more scoring opportunities then you would playing a lesser team.
Use the radar to find guys in space. On counter attacks dish the ball back to a MF player and then run up field fast as possible and look for the easy goal.
Commiting a lot to attack will leave your defence open at times, I always try to have a 2-line defence. Your back line and then a smaller line in front of them. That protects you from runners up the middle and long balls.
Something like this...
0 0 0 - CF/WF
0 - OMF
0 - CMF
0 0- DMF/SMF - or remove CMF and have 2 SMF and a DMF.
0 0 0 - Back line
You can do whatever you like with the midfield. And try different spacing with the CF/WF's and DMF/SMF's till you find what you like. If your getting hammered switch to like 4-4-2 or anything conservative but not too defensive.
Tons of other stuff you can do, just what i've been doing.

try shooting whenever you get the chance, the keeper often spills a hard shot or you may get a lucky deflection.

Still, the idea of Keemo is good, although it is a risky 3-4-3 formation. Another good formation is the default Master League formation, which is a 3-5-2. Then you have wide players to make runs with, two strikers and the good defence Keemo is talking about.
