Anyone going to the reopening of Wembley?

Just wondered if anyone is going to Wembley to see the England under 21's V Italy next weekend. Capacity is set for 60'000 (because Wembley has not yet been certified for full capacity of 90'000)

The match sold out in three hours!!

I'm pleased to say I am!

If I would live there, I'd definitely spend every money to get on the reopening of Wembley. Even, if it's only game between the nations under 21.:p

Sold out! :o Will be a very good experience for the youngsters.

No, I'm not going unfortunately :(

The FA made a complete hash of the whole thing, I was on the computer for nearly three hours - and it kept chucking me out of the queue so I had to start over. Still I only paid £40 for 4 so I can't complain.

That's pretty good, a tenner per person. Sky were saying that it had sold out for 90,000. That would be incredible.

They already had the Community Day celebrity match there... saw some of the pictures off of Flickr.com and some of the video off of youtube... it looks spectacular, can't wait for the 60,000 to get in there though, see if it has a god atmosphere... don't see why it wouldn't

COME ON ENGLAND

Otherwise you had the risk of massive waste of lives man. The former stadium just was too old to be safe enough.

They never should have rebuilt Wembley. Massive waste of money, imo.

You are kidding right? The old stadium was absolutely shocking. It just would not be possible to play in it these days. What a sh*thole of a stadium that was...

Indeed, as much as we loved the old Wembley it didn't have the facilities to progress into the 21st century. It will, however, take some doing to replicate the atmosphere of the old wembley

Oh, and razza, Multiplex made a huge loss on the Wembley project :)

Yea, I knew that the original Wembley was at best, a toilet towards the end of its life. But the thing about the new one is that you wasted 7 years and 800 million quid on a stadium that really wasn't needed.

Yeah, that was a shocker! The goal was only about 100 feet in front of us - the stadium was silent! Amazing feeling though, Wembley is awesome. I'd love to see it on Cup Final day with a full 90,000 screaming their heads off!

Good game too, though Italy looked more industrious at first, England picked up the pace as it went on - Bentley's freekick was class. Richardson went missing and was booed off the pitch, and everytime Tom Huddlestone got the ball we yelled "shoot!" at him.

Great day out.
