Well, if you're asking then you didn't do it. Good, You haven't fried your card (that's the first thing I thought when I saw that shot).

It looks like some of your LOD settings may have been changed/altered somehow. I was experimenting with these setting's myself, to try and keep the players head fully detailed when he's further away in the screen. My first few attempts looked good close up, but when the player moved further into the screen, parts of him dissapered (like your screen shot).

happens to me too, and im pretty sure its my video card

Sorry. It's Level Of Detail (LOD). It's a line in your cfg_pc_h ini.
If it's set wrong, parts of the players body's will vanish. The lines look like this:

ACTIVE_CONIFG = PC_H.

// dsewell: added these here because cf_def isnt very useful for these settings
PLAYER_LOD_HIGH_NEAR = -1.0
PLAYER_LOD_HIGH_FAR = 1.806
PLAYER_LOD_MED_NEAR = 1.856
PLAYER_LOD_MED_FAR = 0.714
PLAYER_LOD_LOW_NEAR = 0.764
PLAYER_LOD_LOW_FAR = 0.21
PLAYER_LOD_SLOW_NEAR = 0.26
PLAYER_LOD_SLOW_FAR = 0.0
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_HIGH_NEAR = -1.0
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_HIGH_FAR = -1.0
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_MED_NEAR = 1.922
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_MED_FAR = 0.660
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_LOW_NEAR = 0.710
PLAYERHEAD_LOD_LOW_FAR = 0.0

PITCH_DETAIL_RENDER = 1
PLAYERSHADOW_ENABLED = 1
PLAYERSHADOW_USELOWENDSOFTSHADOWS = 1

You should be alright if you copy your cfg_pc_h, cfg_pc_m, and cfg_pc_l files from your CD. Hope this helps.

Don't take this the wrong way, but your graphics card is somewhat dated- and it isn't even a fully-fledged GeForce 2.
Have you tried playing at: 640 x 480, with the lowest possible detail setting in the game?
Even if the game worked 'properly', I'd expect it to run in an extremely 'jerky' fashion on your PC. Maybe you should think about investing in a new (or used) graphics card.

Sorry, I know that's not what you really want to hear.

/Edit/

Have you switched off 'anti aliasing' in: Display Properties > Advanced? Also make sure that any 'detail' settings are on the lowest 'quality' setting. In your BIOS, increase the 'AGP Aperture' setting to 128Mb. That should allow your graphics card to use available system memory for rendering textures.

/Edit/

You have to be kidding me...1st turn off Anti-aliasing, Im surprised that crappy videocard didnt catch fire trying to run AA...get a new Motherboard that supports 8X AGP and get a new Videocard. you can still use the same CPU and then upgrade your ram and CPU later ....burn that Videocard (And plz...spare me any arguments how great your PC's run if your still running anything under 8X AGP and 128MB of onboard Vid RAM...your wasting your breath). Oh and while your at it chuck Windows 98 on the fire as well and replace it with XP Home or preferably Pro.

That 'aa' setting's a bit high for your configuration.

Hahahaha.... that's what I meant in my previous posting, but I was trying to be a little more tactful! It didn't really get me anywhere...

I'll use the direct approach from now on. :D

lol...I'm not trying to hurt his feelings or anything but sometimes you have to be direct about hardware issues especially when gaming is what you want out of your PC.
